Environmentalists for Nuclear – USA (EFNUSA) presents different views on topics related to peaceful uses of nuclear energy, nuclear medicine, and nuclear science.

John Shanahan October 23, 2017 There are different views, different preferences for understanding and experiencing many things in the universe.

Here are two topics not addressed on EFN-USA website: efn-usa.org: 1) Is there a cause for the existence of the universe and if so, how does that cause interact with everything happening at each moment in time?

2) What kind of government is good, preferred to organize and guide humanity?

EFN-USA presents different views on many other topics as they relate to nuclear energy, nuclear medicine, and nuclear science and their importance for PEOPLE and the ENVIRONMENT. Here are some examples: 1) Should nuclear energy be used at all? Is it safe for people and the environment?

2) How does nuclear energy fit in with other energy sources?

3) What are key aspects of different nuclear energy sources?

4) Other energy sources have topics where debate exists. How should nuclear advocates engage in these debates and why? For example carbon dioxide from use of fossil fuels.

5) What characteristics of government, economy, and societal structure are strongly recommended in order for nuclear energy to be used?

6) What guidelines should be used for radiation safety standards, ones based on science or arbitrary ones?

7) How should the public be informed and educated about nuclear energy?

8) How should deficiencies in government guidelines and operations of regulatory agencies be corrected?

9) What requirements should nuclear power plant owners and operators meet for long term safe operations?

10) Anti-nuclear organizations are conducting very effective, long lasting campaigns to cast doubt and fear in the minds of ordinary people, to impose unnecessary expensive modifications on existing nuclear power plants, to stop advanced nuclear power technologies, and to cause nuclear knowledge to be stopped from being passed from one generation to the next. How should pro-nuclear organizations work to overcome these monumental challenges?
