Carbon Dioxide in Perspective by Malcolm Roberts and The Galileo Movement Canada and Australia have similar size populations and land areas. Their population is about the size of California, but their land area is much larger. Both Australia and Canada have imposed a carbon (dioxide) tax on their people and industries. This tax will do almost nothing regarding the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. It just makes their people poorer and their industries less competitive. But some of their politicians and a lot of their extreme greens feel good. One Australian has even proclaimed himself to be a Promethean Environmentalist.
