Elke kleinste onderdeel van prestasie word gemeet en ontleed om te kyk waar die organisasie doeltreffender, goedkoper of vinniger resultate kan lewer. The ideal candidate will have the following requirements: • A PhD Remote Sensing with strong mathematical, GIS, remote sensing and programming background is required for appointment at scientist level • A minimum of 3 years working experience in developing remote sensing applications for forest, agriculture, mining, and urban landscapes • High competence to process and retrieve geophysical and biophysical parameters from microwave SAR data as well as SAR Interferometry (InSAR) and Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) • Competence in geospatial programming and shell scripting and in Python, R or C++ • Experience in using open source remote sensing and GIS software and geo-databases is required for this position • Skilled in Shell scripting, Linux, Statistical modelling, Data mining, data analytics, machine learning, data visualisation, quantitative analysis, R, Python, SAS, SQL, Remote Sensing, GIS, Spatial Analysis, Data management.
