Actual situation - Urbanization and construction of infrastructure on the island have been negatively affecting different natural aspects. - The lagoon‘s touristic recreational activities are not organized neither in timing nor routes. - There is only rainwater available at the site. - There is no awareness on how unique and fragile the area is. 1
Zones with insufficient easement area for building on the east side. - The current vegetation and the dunes characterize the zone. - The East side of this zone has more valuable fauna and flora than the West side.
2 Zone characterized by construction bearing soil.
التنمية العمرانية و مد شبكات البنية التحتية أثر سلبا عىل الجوانب.الطبيعية املختلفة يف الجزيرة . مل يتم تنظيم مواقيت األنشطة الرتفيهية السياحية البحرية أو حتى مساراتها. ال يتوفر سوى مياه األمطار يف املوقع. غياب الوعي بشأن متيزوحساسية املنطقة. مناطق ذات حرم شاطئي محدود للبناء يف الجانب الرشقي. تتميز املنطقة بـغطاء نبايت وكثبان رملية يتميزالجانب الرشقي من الجزيرة بالحياة النباتية والحيوانية أكرث قيمة.من الناحية الغربية

Recommendations - Accurate environmental impact assessment should be done, before planning any constructions at this zone. - Subdividing the zones and making use of the different activities that can be done on the same zone due to tidal fluctuation. - Any development should consider water treatment systems. 1 - Regulations should be forced to preserve the area and awareness should be raised (e. g. petition systems). -Prohibiting building in these zones and allow them to take place in the West side, zone 3. If necessary, light or temporary structures could be built. - Vegetation and dunes should be preserved. - Westside of the zone is more open for developing an integrated landscape design to accommodate different lagoon activities like birds ‘watching 2 Most suitable zone for construction. 3 Could be developed as a panoramic viewpoint or for
different sightseeing activities.

should consider the tidal changes and the ecosystems.
