Is it possible to create perfect totalitarianism?

In latin, there‘s a word „totalitas“ which describes something that‘s full or absolute. A form of goverment called totalitarianism is an opposite term to democracy, where people govern. A dictatorship consists of rule by one person or a group of people, who seek to absolutely control tčhe society. Totalitarianistic superindents don't pay attention to one‘s willingness and enforce people to obey.

27 People are enforced to refuse not only their ideas but even feelings and especially love.

On the other hand, a perfect totalitarianism would be there where people deliberately would agree to be in control of regime; they would believe in regime‘s perfection and wouldn‘t have to be afraid or hide their thoughts. Vice versa, they would be satisfied that their thoughts are similar to public attitude. Actually, people tried to create a perfect totalitarianismW but it went wrong. Why? First of all, when the goverment has an unlimited power, regime is built on the coercion and propaganda. George Orwell has written about such type of totalitarianism in his novel ‚1984‘. Secondly, the totalitaristic regime causes hatred. People think that it is necessary to enforce other people to listen and join the regime, otherwise disobedients should be eliminated. German film ‚Die Welle‘ reflects the hatred in the society and so does the novel ‚1984‘. Finally, totalitarianism struggles against humans‘ wish to be independent. This clash of interests has been shown in movie ‚Die Welle‘. Consequently, these examples could be an attempt to create a dictatorship but not a perfect totalitarianism.

Jų atsakymuose galima įžvelgti savotišką mecenatystės idėją, kuri remiasi didesnėmis knygynų pastangomis parduoti lietuvių autorių darbus, pirkimą vien kaip jaunųjų menininkų rėmimo būdą, naujų vertimų iš retesnių kalbų sudarymą bei „beveidžių kopijuotojų“ šalinimą iš viešosios erdvės. Tiek Putinas, tiek Vaižgantas siekia žodžiais paskatinti skaitytoją imtis realių darbų. Tuo metu dar kunigas rašo: ”Tauta, kuri neskaito, nemąsto ir nekuria neturi prasmės

Kita leidinyje dominuojanti tema yra susijusi su lietuviška literatūra. Lapkričio vienuoliktą dieną pasirodo apklausos „Knyga ir visuomenė“ anketa, skatinanti rašytojus, kunigus, mažumų atstovus išsakyti nuomonę apie lietuvišką raštiją, kas jai kenkia, kodėl veikalai skaitomi arba ne. Iki pat leidybos pabaigos vystytoje diskusijoje sudalyvaus ir keli žymūs visuomenės veikėjai – Jonas Jablonskis, Vincas Mykolaitis – Putinas bei Vaižgantas. Visuose atsakymuose išryškėja dvi pagrindinės problemos – tauta neskaito savo literatūros ir lietuvių rašytojams trūksta sugebėjimų. Situacija krašte apibūdinama užburto rato metafora, kurią citavau kalbos pradžioje. Šis paradoksas paveikiai iliustruoja srities būklę 1925-26m. sandūroje. Konkrečiais pavyzdžiais situaciją apibūdina pirmasis atsakymas, gautas iš kalbininko Jono Jablonskio, kuriame aiškinama, kad iš gimnazistų ir studentų neišauga geri literatai, nes jie neturi, ką skaityti. To priežastimi įvardijami keli aspektai. Pirmiausiai, egzistavę spaudos bei lietuviškų mokyklų draudimai, dėl kurių tuometinė inteligentija neturėjo galimybių išmokti norminę kalbą. Žargoninė kalba, išskirtinai prasti vertimai nepadeda skaitytojams tobulėti, o tik žaloja juos
