Clean India green India Clean India green India is a dream which is initiated by our respected Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi ji under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched on October 2,2014 . We are always taught to clean ourselves, our homes ,schools etc. But One thing that all of us forgot was that India is our first home. To make our homes, cars clean we all continuously kept throwing all the garbage in our surroundings. It is an irony that on one side we say that India, Bharat Mata is our mother, and on other side we are hurting, harming our own mother by polluting it, making it dirty. India was in urgent need of campaign CLEAN INDIA GREEN INDIA. It was the time to teach everyone How to keep your country i.e. your house clean? The condition of cities, rivers, parks, hill-stations, oceans were becoming worse. People were exploiting all these whether knowingly or unknowingly. Mind set of one and another was that ,”my duty is to just clean my belongings. It is the responsibility of government to clean the country.” There was need to tell them all that,” you are the only one who is making your own country and you yourself have to also take responsibility of your litter”. Before the arrival of this campaign people were throwing garbage on the roads, there were piles of litter on the road side. Conditions of parks ,hill-stations and many other tourist places were worse than worse. People were peeing on roads, in fields. Earlier there were no toilets in most of the houses of India. Even some of the villages were not having even a single toilet. Thanks to the government that now there is facility of toilet in every village. It was sad but people in India were to taught how to use toilet and how to maintain cleanliness. People have understood the need of cleanliness and have actively took part to correct the past mistakes. In different cities people of all age groups came forward to clean their city. Even a sought of competition was conducted after a year to analyse the cleanest city of the country. It was a good way to keep everyone motivated towards the goal. Also on religious grounds if believed, God remains where there is cleanliness. So if you want Lakshmi to remain with you than keep your surroundings clean. Many organisations came forward to help government in achieving this mission. The next step after maintaining cleanliness is preserving greenery. The need of the hour is conserving and preserving the environmental beauty and purity of the surroundings. Even many campaigns to plant trees are launched. Also strictness has been increased towards protection of environment. The only solution to the critical environment issue is people’s mass participation in saving the environment. Try to use alternate fuels rather than fossil fuels which causes pollution. If there will be no tree than how will you get oxygen to breathe? Think! I guess may be there will be any ATM supplying artificial oxygen. Clean India campaign is India’s largest cleanliness drive with 3 million government employees, and especially school and college students from all parts of India, participating in the campaign. The goal to be achieved is very big and quite far from reality. But with the continuous efforts we can definitely reach our target and can make India one of the cleanest and greenest country in the world. Small efforts of today will surely give results tomorrow. Come forward in making India clean and planting trees. If we have guts to throw garbage or litter than we should not be ashamed of holding broom to clean that.
