Rules for Masters in Real Estate group

RULES This group is for Realtors / real estate related services who are dedicated to being the most professional and knowledgeable in their market. This group realizes that in order to grow stronger, more efficient, more knowledgeable, and therefore more profitable... we must cooperate with each other. The professionals in this group will ultimately be brokers who you will get to know and even have transactions with in the future.

I first would like each potential member to prove to me that they are a Realtor or in a real estate related business. Sharing a license number (for Realtors) or a website with your info on it usually does it. I am at my limit of friends on Facebook, so don’t try to “friend” me. Non-friends usually have much of their personal information hidden, so to get into this group… we need proof of what you do. The Masters in Real Estate group is for sharing everything: great ideas, vendors you love and trust within all real estate related professions, your favorite apps, law updates, strategy, technology, professionalism, common courtesies, and anything else of value. It is also a place for asking advice from one another. For Realtors, this group is not a substitute for talking with your principal / managing broker. Talk to them first! If you have a question, there is probably an outstanding chance that one of us can suggest the perfect answer or solution. The members of this group are Realtors and all real estate related services such as escrow officers, lenders, attorneys, contractors, house cleaners, pest control….etc. Key Rules Please make sure your post is relevant and helps the group entirely (not self serving). Please search the group for a vendor or topic first... we have covered a lot here. Chances are we have many posts answering your question already. Regarding vendor requests, if you can’t find the topic in a search, you may start your own thread. If you need a painter… relevant information and detail helps us help you. Examples: Bad: “Who’s your favorite painter… go!” Good: “I have people needing a good exterior painter. They have a 1500 sqft, one-level house in Tigard. They want someone good and professional and reasonably priced.” No Ranting. Modify what otherwise would be a "rant" into something constructive. No “Shout outs” good or bad. Although we love positive posts, good “shout outs” break the solicitation rule in a second hand fashion. A lender can’t post a thread about themselves saying “use me as your lender” but a friend could post “Shout out to John Doe, lender with ABC Lending for doing such a great job for me”. For that reason, we don’t allow any shout outs.
