NWACC offers safety-based Commercial Delivery Licensing (CDL) truck driving training for new and re-entry experienced drivers. Training includes classroom and theory-based instruction and simulator and behind-the-wheel that equip you with federal and state regulatory and compliance requirements.

The APAC Central Driving Academy in Centerton, Arkansas is a state-of-the-art CDL driving academy equipped with a driving range, simulator and classroom. The academy was opened in April 2022, with Russell E. Kirkpatrick, chief CDL instructor.
The APAC Central Driving Academy is designed to be challenging to the student while maintaining the safety of both the student and the public. Our driving range is one of the largest in Northwest Arkansas, and we utilize three different stations to practice on. We use State and federal-approved signage and have a railroad crossing to teach the appropriate way to handle this potential danger. We offer training for Class A CDL, 160 hours of instruction with tanker endorsement and Class B CDL, 80 hours of instruction. Our goal is to release the safest entry-level Drivers with the knowledge and skills needed in today’s construction industry.

• 21 years old for an interstate (able to cross state lines) CDL

• Obtain an Arkansas CDL Driving Permit and JJ Keller Theory Reding and test materials

• Demonstrate the steps necessary for a pre-trip inspection, brake test, and in-cab inspection.
• Demonstrate how to properly upshift and downshift a 10-speed transmissions.
• Correctly maintain and understand Federal and State (DOT) Department of Transportation laws and (CSA) Compliance, Safety and Accountability scores.
