Founding Partner
Born and raised in Lapa neighborhood, São Paulo, João Armentano graduated in the late 1980's. Passionate about architecture since his childhood, he admired Jorge Zalszupin's works, the creator of the furniture at the Supreme Federal Court (1960) and Lucjan Korngold's partner, a pivotal architect in the process of verticalizing downtown São Paulo in the mid-20th century.
Even during his university years, Armentano entered the architecture market, establishing partnerships and building his reputation until he founded his eponymous firm in 1987.
As a true inheritor of modern design, Armentano works within the precise parameters of composition that underpinned the revolutionary shifts proposed by avant-garde art and modern architecture. In Armentano Arquitetura's projects, this set of relationships serves as a bedrock for his method of spatial construction – a solid foundation that allows for the integration of all the complexity, innovation, and diversity of contemporary life.
AARQ
Presently, the firm boasts a team of 40 members, among them 25 designers and architects with expertise across a range of project scales - from furniture design to large real estate ventures. This diversity is justified by an awareness of the work complexity and the scale variety that need to be worked with. There are situations where architectural projects struggle to establish connections with the people who inhabit or regularly visit them. No matter how meticulous and skillful the design, or how ingenious the structural system, the scale of a building is not always compatible with the warmth of everyday life.
The firm's work seeks solutions to connect these scales and interior projects act as mediators between inhabitants and buildings. The company is able to meet a wide range of demands it receives thanks to its extensive market experience, the innovative and creative spirit of its architects, capable of adopting cutting-edge technology for modeling and project production using the BIM system.

The appropriate name for this environment, considering that it is characterized by the illuminated shelf, fixed to the bar wall itself, with a vast extension of a collection of liquor bottles.
The largest suite available at Hotel Unique, this one has undergone a general renovation in its environments, which range from the living room to the master bathroom. The main update came through the alteration of the furniture, which features more neutral colors, making the coating applied to the walls, in wood, the protagonist of the work.
The master bathroom has a new proposal for coatings, totally different from the rest. On the floor, a coating similar to raw stone was applied, characterized by its texture, while on the walls, a darker material, creating density in the other ambient.
The updating of Hotel Unique's main restaurant was given by the application of a new ceiling, in wooden slats, with lighter colors, enhanced by the lighting project, which values warmth. The walls are also covered in light wood, while the furniture is disposed in a variety of neutral tones.
The place for massages has a comfortable atmosphere so that the guest has the best possible relaxation experience. The wood that surrounds the perimeter of the room creates the feeling of a large space, favored by the style of lighting adopted, applied to the walls and ceiling.
