Joanne Burnett Known as Jo, I am a hard-working and friendly individual who is adept at dealing with a fast-paced environment and tight deadlines - including 14+ years’ experience in the graphic design arena, and the rare knowledge of both print and digital design. I have worked for over four years as a Image Editor foremost and Creative Artworker for a high end guided tours operator.

I love my job as image editor and really enjoy the creative artworking and graphic design. I am looking for ideally a full time role as an Image Editor but ideally a mix of all elements.

EXPERIENCE

BS&T DIGITAL LTD

2017 -

Single handedly responsible for sourcing and retouching all campaign and brochure/ web trip images for 2 guided tour companies.

Upkeep of the company image library and point of contact for multiple regions.

Ensuring all images are coded and correctly licenced for advertising. Able to recall certain photoshoots/images from memory, suitable for their projects. In my downtime working as a Creative Artworker producing brochure pages for the 8 different regions from an original template.

MISSION CARE

2017

A 3 month contract. Briefed to revamp the brand and increase awareness of the charity’s Café and Shops and maximise revenue using social media and traditional printed advertising. Responsibilities include food photography, imagery for web, logo design, signage for facelift of charity shops, promotional POS posters, adverts and brochures for recruitment.

Production of advertisements and literature.

Co-ordinating the production of a wide range of marketing communications. Creating point of sale labels for the product samples using Illustrator. Responsible for making sure the website is showing the correct information in Magento. Uploading product and store images to online libraries, internet groups and social media sites.

2015

Designing and printing of various workbooks, posters, wall charts, PowerPoint presentations and skill guide cards.

Responsible for ensuring website was up to date and copy correct in Word Press.

GOOD IDEAS

2014 - 2016

My own sole trading company to enable me to carry out freelance work for small businesses. Works include low cost websites (design, copy and management), various logos, photo retouching, posters, catalogue covers, business cards. Managing social media content for technically challenged small businesses. Clients include Feathers Hair and Beauty, Skyline and G Factor Ltd.

RUSSELL & BROMLEY

2005 - 2015

Working closely with the ecommerce team to provide mock ups of the site in testing.

Creation and design of banners and visual interactive merchandise on website.

Responsible for producing the style guide for ALL the photography/angles of the products, optimising and cleaning EVERY image on the web for the first year of the site. Liasing daily with the photography studio and the website merchandising team ensuring all products were processed in a timely manner.

Producing a marketing email each week combining individual product images resulting in a lifestyle/trend image. Working with the press office on a bi yearly basis to produce the new season Look Book and new season catalogue. Handling the workflow of the department including designing, ordering, printing and proof checking of all the point of sale materials including the designing and printing of children’s backdrops. Responsible for invoice validation for all the display studio suppliers. Providing administration for Head of Marketing including store competition ideas and organising charity donations.

BS&T Digital Ltd -

Retouching images for guided tours, some examples of retouching for the brochures/collateral. Before and after shots.

Boosted colours, exended image, added sky, changed colour of door for more mediterranean feel, cleaned the soles of her feet and realtered building on right for better crop.

Russell & Bromley/Santander (Loyalty Scheme Providers) -

Bi yearly fashion event - A5 card invitations mailed to 50,000 subscribed users.

Russell & Bromley Kids-

Designed backdrop and organised print for all 27 children’s branches quarterly (Spring, Summer, Back to School and Christmas). Backdrops were designed to compliment the props that were purchased by the Visual Merchandising Manager.

Russell & Bromley Weekly Marketing Emails -

Prepared in accordance to Press Office “Product of the Week” and Russell & Bromley online brand guidelines - Emails made up of seperately shot images photoshopped to look shot together.

Russell & Bromley Gift Card -

Design brief - A gift card that carries the brand colour and logo - I designed the card in a leather look with stitching detail. The card needed to be scanned without moving it from the packaging to load the money via the till - hence the hole on the reverse. The promotion of it sat on the till desk and fixtures.

Russell & Bromley/Global Blue -

Global Blue is a tax refund company for Russell & Bromley Shoppers. To entice Chinese shoppers we created a DL sized brochure to hand out in China at tourist centres in Mandarin.

Russell & Bromley Look Book -

Bi-yearly creating the Look Book for the press office. All images and trend shots taken by myself, cleaned and set on page.

Feathers Hair and Beauty -

Small business, low cost website - Client had only just started a hairdressers and wasn’t turning a profit. I built her a website to promote her shop and improve her reach.

Logos -

Various logos produced from freelancing and in-house.

Mission Cafe -

Brief - build the Mission Cafe audience and create high impact advertisements for posters, adverts and social media. Using the existing brand colours I created a set of images that targeted young people and corporates alike.

Create a new logo for a 24 year old charity shop in Bromley and the new recently opened sister store in Orpington. New signage designed and relaunched.

Social Media -

Mission Care needed a boost on the footfall and sales in their cafe and two charity shops. Using Facebook and Twitter I heavily advertised the new brand and its offerings (all my own photography).
