1. What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them?!

! !

The skills I have acquired through this module has been to gain a better and more refined understanding about branding. The lessons and workshops have enabled me to see what it takes to create a professional branded image and has enabled me to use this skills through the development of my festival branding and research publication. Also these skills have sparked an interest in what I want to do in my future practice which has helped me develop as a designer.

2. What approaches to/methods of design production have you developed and how have they informed your design development process?!

!

The skills I have learnt through this module have been extensive, I have been able to use the laser cutting machine independently which has made me feel confident in making design decisions. I have also acquired a new crafting skill in spray painting which is something I have never done before and have applied this skill to a range of branded material. I have also learnt and developed my skills on iMovie and movie editing in general. This is something i have been interested in doing just this year and through research and practice I was able to create my very first edited promotional video that I was really happy with.

3. What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these?!

!

I think the strengths I have in my work is colour, type and experimentation. I think I always push to try something new in my design work which helps me push my ideas further and always create something new and intersting. In doing this I keep building on my digital and crafting skills which I think is a really beneficial thing for me to do to become a well rounded designer.!

4. What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these in the future?!

!

I think I have really let myself down in this module in regards to consistency in my blogging, time management and the quantity of work I have produced. i think at begging of the year I had managed my time a lot more better than I have with with module due to the amount of modules that have been running alongside one another.! I have really learnt a lot about myself as designer and I think that I do leave things to the last minute which then makes my work suffer. In level 06 this will be something that i hope never happens again and I would definitely like to revisit this brief and push it even further as it is a topic that I am really interested in. 5. Identify five things that you will do differently next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these?

!! !1. Blog as I work to save time on me having to rectify it later and be able to post

everything I have endured on the module 2. Be consistent in my approach to time and work methods 3. To boost and keep building on my crafting skills which will make my work look more professional 4. Keep up to date with studio sessions 5. Take more pictures of the processes that I do to keep a visual record.
