r. Lakitta D. Johnson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of School, Community and Rehabilitation Counseling. She received a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago, a M.S. degree in Counseling from Jackson State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Tougaloo College. Her current research interests include therapeutic communication, co-occurring disorders, and African American students’ retention, dropout prevention, bullying, and technology’s influence on children. r. Jeton McClinton is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership. She received a Ph.D. from Mississippi State, M.Ed. from George Washington University, and a B.S from Washington State University. Her research interest includes faculty professional development in the 21st century, integration of electronic portfolios as a professional development tool, student learning styles in mobile learning environments, non-traditional students’ experiential learning styles in a knowledge driven society, and patterns of social interaction, discourse and cognitive processing in electronic
environments. She currently teaches Principles of Measurement, Methods of Educational Research, and Elementary Statistics at the graduate level. She has more than 15 years of experience in instructional technology, distance education design and delivery with extensive experience in e-learning systems methodology.
