FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS, AND FELLOW CATTLEMEN,
From our Family to yours, Nixon Family Farms would like to extend a warm and sincere welcome to our Inaugural “Crimson & Coal” Production Sale. This sale isn’t just a date on the calendar for us—it’s a reflection of the work, care, and commitment our family has poured into this herd over the past year (and many years before that).
Farming and ranching is more than a livelihood for us—it’s a way of life that brings our family together and teaches values we hold dear: hard work, honesty, faith, and respect for the land and livestock. Those values guide everything we do, including the bulls and heifers we raise and offer for sale.
Today, we’re proud to have multiple generations working side by side—raising cattle, raising kids, and building on the legacy that came before us. The bulls in this year’s sale are a direct reflection of that legacy, these are the same genetics we use in our own cow herd, and we stand behind them with full confidence. We’ve built this program to serve hardworking cattle families just like ours.
The bulls in this offering are bred and developed with a practical focus: fertility, soundness, disposition, and quality genetics that will keep your operation moving forward for years to come. They’ve been raised in real-world conditions, right here on our family operation, and represent the kind of cattle we’re proud to stand behind.
We truly appreciate the trust you place in our program, and we don’t take it lightly. Whether you’ve bought from us before or you’re flipping through our catalog for the first time, we’re grateful for your interest and honored by your support.
Please feel free to stop by ahead of sale day—bulls and heifers will be on display Sunday, October 12, 2025. The sale will begin at 1 PM on Monday, October 13, 2025. Lunch will be served at 12 PM. Don’t hesitate to reach out, we always enjoy visiting with fellow cattlemen, and there’s no better way to get a feel for the cattle than to see them in person.
We’re happy to help however we can. If you are unable to join us in person, online bidding will be available through CCi.Live or call any of the sale contacts listed. Thank you again for being part of this journey with us. We look forward to seeing you on October 13, 2025 in Floydada, Texas!
God Bless,
Nixon Family Farms

The vast countryside of West Texas and the Texas Panhandle can have as many topographical shifts and turns as the wind pattern in the region. However, there can be some consistencies: consistently dry, consistently windy, and consistently adverse to those who may not be native or appreciate the area for its good qualities. Believe it or not, one of the region’s most valuable assets is its people, and if you haven’t flown into Lubbock, Amarillo, or Midland/Odessa, you should try it at least once.
This October marks the first of many annual production sales for the Nixon Family of Floydada, Texas. As the fourth generation takes the reins, the brother tandem wants to showcase what their parents helped them start. Gary and Robin always included cattle in their diversified ag enterprise, but never took it to the level where they are today. During Kirby and Keenan’s formative years, they were involved in 4-H, showing at the local Floyd County Show every January. With the help and encouragement from some neighbors on the west side of the county, they began to step up the game and invest in better SimGenetic females from the Foster family. It became a passion and something that the family vowed to improve on every year.
The success they experienced allowed them to network with other seed stock operations throughout their college years, where they absorbed the information and implemented the new strategies during their college careers. When Keenan and his wife, Hannah, returned to the ranch, the team cranked the ratchet again so that they could bring the stock as planned for their first production sale.
The firm acquired some groups of proven cattle representing both breeds from other young family operations, such as theirs. Through contacts and friendships, the cattle were strategically mated to be of blue-chip phenotype yet built durable at the surface with substance and genuine width to withstand the distances required for travel and the challenging terrain. As the operation evolves, expect the use of newer genetic technologies and the implementation of more proven profit drivers. However, they will never sacrifice quality or skeletal integrity for something that cannot be seen.
Both the bulls and females represent some of the very best AI sires and donor families known to their respective breeds. The cattle have been stringently sorted multiple times to present the offering that we’re selling you on October 13, 2025. The bulls are age advantaged and have been developed on big pastures and a balanced TMR with an extra sort on hoof quality at semen check. All females sell safe in calf and are ready to go to work. From personal experience, the stock from this region will thrive wherever they are introduced, and once adapted, they will earn every day to remain a vital part of your breeding program if Mother Nature allows them the opportunity.
The cattle are excellent from top to bottom and suitable for any ranch, anywhere, but they won’t surpass the quality reputation of the entire Nixon Family. These people don’t know a stranger, and their word and handshake are worth more than anything else when you do business with them. They are strong-willed cotton farmers with a passion for good cattle, and they want to do business with good people. Please plan to join us for a big Texas weekend of quality cattle and friendly folks. Join us Friday evening, October 10, 2025, in Grand Saline, Texas, for the Ladies of the Lonestar event hosted by Red River Farms, then head west another 2 hours for The Black Label on Saturday afternoon in Grandview, Texas, hosted by Shipwreck Cattle Company. Spend Sunday driving 5 short hours west or catch a flight from DFW to Lubbock or Amarillo to experience the stock and hospitality at the Inaugural Nixon Family Farms “Crimson & Coal” Production Sale in Floydada, Texas. We promise you won’t be disappointed!
If you need any help with sight-unseen purchasing or want more details about the offering, feel free to contact Keenan, Kirby, or any of the Innovation AgMarketing team. We look forward to seeing you all there.
Enjoy the cattle,
Graham Blagg Jered Shipman Tim Anderson
