WEAVING THE PAST AND PRESENT: A CONNECTION THROUGH RESPECTFUL DESIGN
Intriguing dialogues, harmonious transitions, and echoes of history guide the approach to connecting our proposal to the existing and historic buildings. The design philosophy prioritizes honoring the past while confidently navigating towards the future, intending to create a tapestry where old and new coexist in graceful harmony.
The main focus revolves aroung establishing respectful connections between existing structures and new additions. Meticulous analysis of the existing spatial relationships ensures that any new intervention enhances rather than disrupt the ongoing dialogue between buildings and the surrounding open spaces.
These interventions go beyond mere additions; they embody spirited collaborations between history and modernity. The narratives embedded within the historic structures are explored, crafting new chapters that resonate with their past. The old buildings become instructors, sharing stories that influence design choices, emphasizing attentive listening and acknowledging the respect their voice deserve.
The ultimate goal is to create a reflection of the delicate dance between the old and the new. Seekingdifferentiation from the historical giants they stand beside, ensuring that their past glory remains untarnished while forging a distinct identity for the present. This transcends mere preservation; it is a celebration of the unique narratives woven into the fabric of the architectural landscape.

The complex was reinterpreted by the force-lines that are driven by the existing buildings, gates and subterranean entrances. After this analysis it is proposed a materialization of main roads that are inter cepted and interconnected by secondary streams that fluctuate through the space.
The largest intervention on the site is the transformation of the existing medieval wall into a serpentin e gallery that transits the perimeter of the complex. Made of standardized materials such as metal panel and glass, it allows to transit the site even during winter. The gallery varies in form and width of space to go from road o a more ludic living space.can also be used as art galleries.
