Lieutenant Governor Message Hello Division 14, I would just like to say thank you to all the clubs for reaching out to me and showing lots of love, I really appreciate it. Without you guys I would be really stressed, but you all have helped me through it all. There will be some information throughout the newsletter that you should pay real close attention to and CONGRATULATIONS 2015 Seniors!!!!!! I would like to send out a special thanks to you all for your continuance throughout the years, serving your home, school and community. We are going to miss you dearly and hope nothing but the best for you all throughout college and life! (P.S. you all should really think about joining CKI or chartering a CKI in your various colleges.)

2105-2016 Responsibilities/ Goals  PCMs (Presidential Council Meetings):

Remember we are having a PCM on June 16th at 11 am in the Nacogdoches Key Club Room. Directions will be given to those who need them. Hope to see you all there.

 Fall Training Conference:

I want to possibly schedule this conference in MidAugust or the beginning of September. I will also be emailing each club on the day, time, and location. I would love to meet all of the club officers and talk about the responsibilities of each officer.

 Monthly Reporting:

You all are doing great with getting the monthly reports in on time. Let’s keep up the good work everyone.

 Summer Social:

As you all may know, Region 10 will be hosting our annual Summer Social. We are in the planning stages of the Summer Social but we should have everything finalized at the beginning of July. Division 14 will be represented as a Dragon. Further information will be provided on a time, date, and location.

 Club Visits: Starting this month I will start contacting a lot of you to plan any types of visits that you would like for me make whether it’s club meetings, service projects, etc.

I am also pushing for better communication with each individual club. I will provide all of my information again to make sure everyone has a way to contact me.

Here are some of the events that will be happening in the 2015 year: • Spring Training Conference • PCM for the month of June • International Convention (ICON) • How to stay active during the summer • Service Projects available over the summer • New International Trustee Board • Summer Board (For LT.Gs) • Fall Rally • New Service Projects Ideas • Freshman Recruitment • Fall Training Conference More information of these events will be provided in the next couple of months so be on the look out!!

Club Dues

Club dues are very important! We want to make sure we stay on top on of things. If you want to know the status of your club you can call me and I will let you know.

• Active: This status is given to a club who has paid dues before February 1st.

• Unpaid: This status is given to a club that has not yet paid their dues.

• Suspended: This status is given to any club that has not paid their dues by February 1st (suspended clubs and their members may not receive Key Club scholarships, attend DCON or ICON, or have anyone from their club run for LTG or district staff positions until they have paid their dues.)

• Inactive: This status is given to clubs that have still not paid their dues by International Convention (ICON); will be placed here the following September (must pay $100 reactivation fee to leave the inactive stage.)

• Texas-Oklahoma District dues $6. 00 • Key Club International dues $7.00 • Dues of any club may not exceed $19 Important Deadlines (save the dates!)

• Before / On: November 1st (Early Bird) • Before / On: November 30th (Deadline) • On/ After: December 1st (Late Deadline) • On/ After: February 1st (Suspended)

This Month’s Highlights

    

The month of May was very busy for Division 14.

Here’s a brief list of activities and events in the month of May: Mother’s Day: May 10th Nacogdoches Bowling for Baby/End-of-the-year Social: May 11th 5-7pm Regents Academy Club Officer Installation/Retirement: May 12th 6:45-7:30 am Nacogdoches Valet for Wedding: May 23rd 2-5:30 pm Regents Academy Eliminate Collection Project Baby Charlotte’s Story (Bowling for Baby):

Nacogdoches’s Key Club held an End-of-the-Year Social as well as a fundraiser for a premature baby.

“Bowling for Baby” donated $225.00 to a local pastor’s family and baby, Baby Charlotte, who is in NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) in Shreveport, Louisiana. Baby Charlotte was born at 22 weeks but she is now weighing 3 pounds. To Baby Charlotte and her family, keep the faith and keep pressing on.

Keeping Up With Your LTG Now that May is ending, the school year is also ending so your LTG is going to be very busy. Congratulations!

Congratulations to all Division 14 Seniors! Also special congratulations to James Payne, Jaden Whitely, Jasmine Patel and Tara Smith, all from Nacogdoches High School.

These 4 received Scholarships from our local Kiwanis Club.

Also 8 seniors from Nacogdoches High School received an honor cord. Each senior had over 85 service hours!

Thank you seniors! We love you and will miss you guys dearly. Thank you for your hard work. You’ve made our world a better place and we hope you continue to serve your community and the world!
