Lieutenant Governor Message Hello Division 14!

I hope everyone’s summer is going great so far!

Remember that there are summer service projects that are available. Thanks for your contribution with the success of our first PCM! The turnout was great and I hope you all had fun! Thanks again and let’s continue a year of great hard work and service! Stay safe over the summer!

Our first PCM was a success. Thank you all for coming out.

 Fall Training Conference:

Division 14’s FTC will be held August 1st at the Nacogdoches High School! Our theme is: Working together to serve others: Avenging All Forces! #Avengers!  Forums will be taught but it will be so much fun! I’m currently in the planning stages now.

Remember I am ordering shirts; please get me your sizes as quickly as possible! I’ll be updating you guys frequently on the shirts orders! Please get them to me, Thanks.

 Monthly Reporting:

You all are doing great with getting the monthly reports in on time. Let’s keep up the good work everyone. Remember doing the Task of the Month will get you more points!

 Summer Social:

As you all may know, Region 10 will be hosting our annual Summer Social. It will be July 31st from 11am4pm. The location is the Brookshire’s Area located in Jacksonville, Texas. I hope you all can come out. There will be plenty of activities for the teens and kids. So to my advisors with children, bring them so that they can enjoy also!  Club Visits: I’ve done a couple of club visits and I would like to do more. Email me, if you want me to visit your club. I will gladly show up!

Club Dues

Club dues are very important! We want to make sure we stay on top on of things. If you want to know the status of your club you can call me and I will let you know.

• Active: This status is given to a club who has paid dues before February 1st.

• Unpaid: This status is given to a club that has not yet paid their dues.

• Suspended: This status is given to any club that has not paid their dues by February 1st (suspended clubs and their members may not receive Key Club scholarships, attend DCON or ICON, or have anyone from their club run for LTG or district staff positions until they have paid their dues.)

• Inactive: This status is given to clubs that have still not paid their dues by International Convention (ICON); will be placed here the following September (must pay $100 reactivation fee to leave the inactive stage.)

• Texas-Oklahoma District dues $6. 00 • Key Club International dues $7.00 • Dues of any club may not exceed $19 Important Deadlines (save the dates!)

• Before / On: November 1st (Early Bird) • Before / On: November 30th (Deadline) • On/ After: December 1st (Late Deadline) • On/ After: February 1st (Suspended)

This Month’s Highlights

        

The month of June was filled with great service from Division 14. Here’s a brief list of activities and events in the month of June: June 5th: Nacogdoches Graduation 8pm June 9th: Nacogdoches and Regents Academy Picked Blueberries with local Kiwanis Club 9am June 11th: Nacogdoches Kiwanis Club Luncheon/ Meeting June 13th: My Birthday June 13th: Nacogdoches and Regents Academy helped local Kiwanis Club at the Annual Nacogdoches Blueberry Festival June 16th: First PCM; Regional Meeting June 19th: FTC Forum Applications Sent out June 21st: Father’s Day June 24th- 28th: International Convention(ICON)

Keeping Up With Your LTG It’s summertime! I’ll be enjoying my summer as well as working. The month of June, July, and August will be busy for me. Here is what my schedule will consist of:  Forum Applications Due: July 3rd  Forum Interview Calls: July 10th  Summer Board (for LTGs): July 24th-26th  Family Reunion: July 17th- 18th  Region 10 Summer Social: July 31st  Fall Training Conference(FTC): August 1st  Band Camp: August 6th-21st  School Begins (for Nacogdoches): August 24th

Blueberry Festival Summary

Every year during the second week in June, Nacogdoches Kiwanis Club always go to our annual Blueberry Festival in Nacogdoches, and they make blueberry pancakes. This year 2 Key Clubs, Nacogdoches and Regents Academy, went with our local Kiwanis and helped them pick blueberries.

On Saturday we helped the Kiwanis make pancakes and serve everyone that attended the Blueberry Festival. The Blueberry Festival is a big event that Nacogdoches looks forward to every year. I was glad to see to great interacting with our Kiwanians. Thank you, Nacogdoches Key Club and Regents Academy Key Club for your participation with our Kiwanis. (I’ve provided photos throughout the newsletter. Did miss them? Just kidding they’re going to be posted at the end of the newsletter.)

! Reminders!

Hey guys, Just a few reminders on some things we talked about at our PCM.  YOF Grants: If you came to the PCM, I talked about the YOF Grant Funds. I also provided you step-bystep instructions on how to apply for the grant. If your club needs a grant, apply for this grant. Who knows, your club might be able to get the grant fund!

SO APPLY!   Major Emphasis Projects: Remember our service projects that we emphasize yearly.  COCI (T-O Key Club Website): To any clubs not registered on the T-O Key Club District Website, I recommend you get the COCI updated before the end of the July month.  Recruiting Members: When recruiting members, be sure to mention the meaning of Key Club, also be sure to mention what Key Club is. If they happen to join, make sure you make them feel welcome, get them involved, help them. Key Club is a family, so make them feel like they are a part of a family.
