Lieutenant Governor Message Hello Division 14 Key Club Members, I am Jiya Willis, your Lieutenant Governor for the 2015-2016 year. I am anticipating a very great year. I can’t wait to work with you all. I know that this year will be filled with success and fun. I will be communicating with you very frequently.

There will be a lot of information that I will update you with throughout the year.

REMEMEBER: Monthly Reporting!!! I know this will be an awesome year full of service.

I am very chill by the way.  If there is anything you need, don’t hesitate to call me.

No matter the time or day or the situation, I am here for you! :)  My favorite color is purple and I love to sing!

2105-2016 Responsibilities/ Goals

During the 2015-2016 year, we all have responsibilities, but it’s up to you how you want your Key Club year to go. Here are some responsibilities and goals that we should accomplish:  PCMs (Presidential Council Meetings) I want to possibly schedule one in the middle of May. I will be e-mailing each club on the day, time, and location. I would love a perfect attendance from all of the club presidents.  Fall Training Conference .I want to possibly schedule this conference in Mid-August or the beginning of September. I will also be e-mailing each club on the day, time, and location. I would love to meet all of the club officers and talk about the responsibilities of each officer.  Governors, District, and Divisional Projects: Each year we have 3 important projects. The Governor’s Project is a service project that I will be hosting and I’m asking that each club attend this project. The District Project is a service project that the T-O District chooses. All the Key Clubs in the T-O District will do a project to help the District. The Divisional Project will also require attendance from all the Key Clubs in Division 14. It is somewhat similar to the Governor’s Project. More information will be provided soon.  Monthly Reporting (Which will be discussed in the FTC meeting, so you want to attend as well as encouraging all Presidents to attend the PCM.)

Here are some of the events that will be happening in the 2015-2016 year:  More club officer installations  Spring Training Conference  PCM for the month of May  International Convention (ICON)  How to stay active during the summer  Service Projects available over the summer  YOF (Youth Opportunity Funds) Grants  New International Trustee Board  Summer Board (For LT.Gs)  PCM for the month of July  Fall Rally  YOF  New Service Projects Ideas  COCI (Club Officer Contact Information)  Freshman Recruitment  Fall Training Conference More information of these events will be provided in the next couple of months so be on the look out!!

Club Dues As you may know, each club has to pay dues to be in good standing. Here are some tips and also some information on how your club may become active, inactive or suspended.  Active: This status is given to a club who has paid dues before February 1st.  Unpaid: This status is given to a club that has not yet paid their dues.  Suspended: This status is given to any club that has not paid their dues by February 1st (suspended clubs and their members may not receive Key Club scholarships, attend DCON or ICON, or have anyone from their club run for LTG or district staff positions until they have paid their dues.)  Inactive: This status is given to clubs that have still not paid their dues by International Convention (ICON); will be placed here the following September (must pay $100 reactivation fee to leave the inactive stage.)  Texas-Oklahoma District dues $6. 00  Key Club International dues $7.00  Dues of any club may not exceed $19    

Club Dues If your club is not in good standings please refer to Page 4 and read the information provided to become active and in good standing. To the clubs that are inactive I will help you work towards gaining activation.

Introduction of our District Staff There are many people that you will come in contact with and people you will be contacting frequently.
