RESPONDING TO CRISIS IN TEXAS
JET Electrical Testing mobilized two teams to the Dallas - Fort Worth Area in Texas to lend support as necessary to two large (>700MW) generating sites after the severe winter storms caused mass utility failure, power outages, water/food shortages.
JET’s expert team was ready to help with service trucks and the necessary equipment to Texas in minimal time to respond to all small equipment issues or major faults and repairs essential during startup. JET provided prompt support and assistance to both plants during their return to regular operation once the cold weather subsided.
By having expertise in the electrical operation and maintenance of these plants on hand at the facility’s disposal, JET was instrumental in aiding personnel in returning these facilities to normal operating conditions.
In the most difficult times, people are compelled to rise to the occasion, and we see strangers banding together to help each other. 500KV-138KV-69KV UTILITY SUBSTATION
Scope of work includes testing and commissioning work that was executed in two phases, over ten months, allowing half of the substation active at all times.
Also, the commissioning and testing included pointing and functioning D/C circuits, testing all A/C circuits for phasing/polarity, programming/ testing relays, performing logic testing, proving all Scada points locally and remotely, end to end testing, thru fault testing, and setting up the security gateway for all devices.
