(Poem w/ F alliteration)

Only in Dreams.

Any face or figure can trigger a thousand memories, Gifting faint thoughts as familiar fancies.

Even though fake, They can give such faith.

You can float on a flood of memory, Free from any felony. ‘Cause in the fair land of memory, You are free.

There can be struggles, There can be hail, But to reach your dreams, you cannot fail.

(Assonance w/ I)

Faith I have lost all of my pride tonight, Filled with pain and filled with strife.

Endlessly drifting as I might, Caught in the dark without a sign.

But maybe I can win the fight, To end this war with one last strike.

And if I fall or If I die, I will try not to cry.

I’ll wipe my own tear from my own eye, This journey alone to wander by.

My Bells Hearing the Bells to begin the day, Students filled with sadness and morrow, Ha ha ha!

The only sounds not heard.

Listen to the bells for lunch and food, Screams fill the halls!

Children grabbing plates and food, Chomp! Chomp! Chomp!

Bear the sounds of the final bell, School girls and boys yell with delight.

Running to their mothers and fathers, Talking in conversation, Yap yap yap!

Sounds Hear the sweet sounds of civilization or nature, Taste the sweet life around you.

A gift untouchable and unseen, But something to nurture, As it is pure, and new.

Amazing as it is, You cannot see the gift.

And some bear the burden of loss..

Which is why you must take care of it, Before it fades away.

(First person POV poem)

The Ranch On the ranch, the farmhouse was the boss, But on this day it was covered in moss.

The garden shed was glum and gray.

The stable seemed to have lost its hay.

The rusty rakes are too old and know, That the starving strawberries are on death row.

The ranch is suffering.

It’s out of breath.

All because of the farmer's death.

The Maul Feeling good and hangin’ out with my friends at the mall, But I fell on the escalator and needed a 911 call.

I was way to worried and had to beg, If they could ever repair my broken leg.

I thought my friends would be worried, too.

But they were worried about buying a new shoe.

I just then realized I had to pay the hospital bill.

But my wallet was empty, and my job doesn’t exactly fill.

My insurance was low, And I earned my hip a blow.

The day couldn’t get more fun, So I attempted to run.

Sometimes I feel as strong as a tree, But just one word can make me break like delicate glass.

I feel like string, so thin and tenuous, And words are the sharp scissors of depression.

People can be as harsh predators, Doing what they think is right even if it means hurting others.

And what they do is worse than murder, Because hurting other people’s feelings turns them into killers.

Because words can be swords, And they stab the heart.

And a sentence can kill, Crumpling feelings.

Cats Cats are adorable, Cats are sweet.

Cats lay by your side.

And lay by your feet.

Cats are obnoxious, They shed fur all day.

And their colors are ugly, Like black, brown, or grey.

Some people hate cats, Some think they are great.

But cats will stay cats.

They will always stay the same.

Freedom

Confinement

When free as a bird,

Trapped in a cage,

One thinks he can fly.

Like a canary.

Forced to sacrifice,

He is the invincible man, He just simply cannot die.

So others can work safely.

Struggling to breathe,

But there’s just one thing,

I’m starting to die.

That one doesn’t know.

I can’t breathe in the pain.

Freedom has a price,

Before I suffocate,

A price that’s unknown.

I will die of the strain.

But will anyone wonder about the death of me?

But when freedom is too free, No government or society, It’s from chaos you’ll have to runaway, And that, my friend, is the price to pay.

Or will they just get another canary?

(3 stanza poem with 4 lines [one hyperbole at least])

Robbed I was walking on my block, Felt like a million bucks.

But a crook took my wallet, In which ended my luck.

Luckily Mcdonald's fast food was an exception, I was ready to fill my digestion.

But then I remembered: I have no money to spare!

I felt as if I was going to rip out my hair.

I then saw the thief.

My fist in anger was throbbing.

But he claimed to have spent it all.

It looks like this was a successful robbing.

In The Sky Soaking the fields everyday, Growing flowers or destroying hay, Always moving without delay, So many tomorrow, as well as today.

So puffy and white, While floating through the heavens, All in different heights and elevations.

All though not doing much, It’s still very helpful.

Provides water for all, And were very thankful.

(Sonnet)

Sonnet 89 Lips of snow, visage of dust, in hale fog.

Charred lungs, deep breathes, daylight ends, darkness waits.

Shady gents, no rent, trapped amid the the bog.

Stuck in her dreams and searching for snowflakes.

In the pub, since she was eighteen drinking sinking.

They proclaim ‘tis free, but the price is steep.

Mad she goes for few stones, sends her flying.

Until angel’s dying, she’s buried deep.

Attire tattered. Drowning, can’t stay afloat.

No gravity I cry cold, she hovers.

Heavenly bodies await with no coat.

Celestial being takes no more lovers.

Many mistakes now just a wasted life.

Thy fair maiden no longer filled with strife.
