I am a junior Interior Design student at Jefferson University. I am in the process of obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design in Spring of 2024. I strive to make interior spaces functional, safe and beautiful by focusing on human-centered design and innovative solutions. IL PUNTO: DAY-SHELTER LOCATION: Slaughterhouse in Testaccio, Rome FUNCTION: Day Center for the homeless population that currently occupies parts of the former slaughterhouse. The center provides services and support to individuals that may not have access to basic resources. Through a collaboration with UARK nursing students, we wanted the design to provide a flexible space that would foster social gathering, health promotion, and educational empowerment.

YETI: SUSTAINABLE OFFICE LOCATION: Navy Yard 15 S 16th St, Philadelphia, PA 19112 FUNCTION: Yeti headquarters is a workplace designed in the Spring of 2023. The workplace was inspired by ecosystem biomimicry, with each design choice working together to form a bubble of life. The concepts allude to the Yeti community that they value as a brand. They explain their lifeblood as their people. The circular system of an ecosystem inspires the office. Yeti is a company that values its community. The program is divided into three main concepts- neighborhood, community, and academic. These zones emulate nature to help improve teamwork, team-building skills,

SHRUB OAK: DINING HALL LOCATION: Shrub Oak International School 3151 Stony St, Mohegan Lake, NY 10547 FUNCTION: The Shrub Oak dining hall design is set out to create a space that would take the burden of adapting and adjusting to the environment of the neurodiverse and instead place it on the built environment design. This design was a group project completed with Heidi Chappell and Natalia Baginski. Through experimentation, exploration, and research, we developed fundamental principles to help create an adaptable environment, allowing users to choose their dining setting. This project facilitates this by creating microenvironments, adaptable/flexible furniture, transition areas, and clear yet not overwhelming way-finding. The main elements of the space are the pyramids, which serve as a moment of refuge and comfort for the user.

TABACHOY: RESTAURAN T LOCATION: 201 N. 3RD STREET, PHILADELPHIA: FIRST & SECOND FLOOR FUNCTION: Tabachoy is a restaurant design that serves as a local food truck’s first bricks-and-mortar restaurant. The restaurant serves as a creative interpretation of the cuisine of the owner’s cultural homeland, the Philippines. The design was supposed to represent the existing brand identity through the color palette, logo, and name. I focused on creating a playful and light hearted atmosphere that was present in the existing brand identity. From my research into the Philippines, I focused my concept on the topography that is present in Philippine rice terraces. My goal was to use level changes and curves to allow people to grow together throughout the space, enhancing the idea of people coming together.

WOODWORKING During my junior year winter break, I built a folddown desk to maximize space in my small bedroom.

I was inspired by FJU’s fold-down desk that included a storage rack on the inside. My dad was able to help me install hinges built into the desk to create a clean and seamless look. We created strong joints held with pressed-wood biscuits and glue. The desk is both a functional and practical solution for this small space.

CONSTRUCTION

Another solution that I built for this space was a daybed that is able to pullout from a single twin bed to a double. The twin mattresses are stacked but can easily be rearranged for an easy solution for overnight guests. This pullout design was inspired from Ikea's Hemnes daybed. I made it my own by building a cane and wood frame that is able to create a cocoon feeling. In this installation, I choose to not install the shorter sides of the frame because it created a closed off feeling in the space.

POOL DESIGN I had the opportunity to design the renovation for an existing community pool at Penn Forest Streams. The renderings are showcased on a board in front of the existing pool to show community members the what is going to be added. The renderings include the addition of a large sun-shelf with seating, umbrellas, and small bubblers for the community members.
