4th semester Design 2020-2021
In the intent of blurring the boundaries of learn and play, and learn and home this is a proposal in order to create an environment that allows us to move away from the monotony and provide a more collaborative and easy environment where these children have the liberty to absorb and enjoy.
Attending kindergarten means having more structure in a child’s young life, and they are ready for it after going to preschool. They have learned to socialize, follow simple rules, and stay on a task longer and longer.
World’s complex yet simple philosophy, पंचतत्व Five elements of nature, Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether (Space) is now going to be entangled with their life so the proposal is divided in such manner to make them more aware of basic elements
Hence the form was divided into three different area and five different building. Having incorporated primary and secondary colors to make it look more like a kindergarten.
An interesting task of designing a shopping mall in context with every age group and requirements was an interesting job we were able to do. Justification of the existing area was done by de-marking it by a unique looking structure making public to attract and make them come more often!
Theme of this competition was Meta, a building which portrays its autobiography. The competition requires to conjure up and architectural project of any size, anywhere but it should have a story with itself and a purpose.
Had history taken any different turn in any junction, someone else's dream such as Hitler of concurring the world might have become true.
This house is the representation how Jews might have to live under Nazi rule if in some world they get a chance to survive.
Not having the luxury to live like others, now they have become human rats who have closes to equal luxury life.
Above the earth they have a shelter which can not even be called a house with primary elements. Having tunnels beneath in order to run away or even go to neighboring houses with liberation. Hence rationally they might build a house alike with the passage of time.

David Harvey in one of his articles states: “The idea of the "public sphere" as an arena of political deliberation and participation, and therefore as fundamental to democratic governance, has a long and distinguished history.” Urban spaces hold the potential to make or break the stage for chances to encounter social interactions, thus nurturing community building and influencing the fabric of our society and culture. There have always been boundaries between spaces due to distinguishable differences and even today whenever the lines smudge they lead to a certain degree of destruction. These boundaries are immensely visible and are often used as affirmations to promote political agendas. When everyone is busy making the most out of their lives in the modern world, public spaces lose their value over time. While all of this is happening, misuse of public spaces by political leaders further perceive them in a negative light. Such as during the election the space has utter importance but later it doesn't have either importance nor use. The link between state and society burned out ages ago while connecting markets and coffee shops. How many more spaces do people associate towards their feelings rather than the existing area, public making biased decisions.
