Join an immersive IMAX adventure to experience the life-saving superpowers and extraordinary bravery of some of the world’s most amazing dogs. In this inspiring true story narrated by Chris Evans, our best friends are also real-life superheroes. Journey around the globe to meet remarkable dogs and their human partners who fight crime, protect endangered species and save lives in avalanches and earthquakes. As we discover the extraordinary abilities of dogs and the remarkable science behind their superpowers, we’ll never look at our best friends the same way again!

Steve and a team of experts head into the ancient landscape of the Guiana Shield. This wilderness of pristine forest and table top mountains is one of the most inaccessible terrains on the planet. The expedition starts a kilometre above the jungle as the team helicopter to the top of a sheer sided table top mountain. Abseiling down a waterfall they reach an unexplored gorge and discover hummingbirds, butterflies and a venomous centipede. Steve wants to investigate reports that gold miners are pushing into these forests. However, when the expedition’s medic is injured, the team must get back to safety.

This film explores the wildlife of Greece’s coast and islands: two colourchanging specialists, African chameleons on land, cuttlefish under water, reveal remarkable hunting, mating and reproduction strategies. Endemic Milos vipers spear migrating songbirds resting at rock pools on this harsh, volcanic island, while in a valley on Rhodes, Jersey Tiger butterflies coat the rocks and trees and Hardun lizards hoover them up. Composer Tristan Schulze sourced both archaic and modern Greek instruments to accompany and comment on these sequences with themes inspired by both familiar and more unusal Greek musical styles.

What does it take to survive in some of the extraordinary places on earth? A three-part PBS/BBC coproduction, EARTH’S NAUTRAL WONDERS: LIFE AT THE EXTREMES highlights parts of the natural world that nature has carved on such a grand scale, they beggar belief. Vast mountain ranges, impenetrable rainforests and dazzling tropical islands - places where nature is visible at its most primal, most powerful and most extraordinarily beautiful. For human beings, survival within these wonders can pose extraordinary challenges, and this series examines what it takes to survive in some of the most extreme places on the planet.
