Andrew Lesnak Speaks with The Victims Who Were Diagnosed with Addictions Being one of the many victims of Hurricane Sandy in 2012, Andrew Lesnak created a Community Outreach Program to help those that continue to suffer from catastrophic events. He found this outreach quite therapeutic, and he considered it the best way to survive the personal trauma that he faced due to the storm. Almost immediately after the hurricane, Andrew had to personally prepare with trying to rebuild his life both professionally and personally. Part of that healing process was to become active in volunteering his time, to assist the other victims of the hurricane. Andrew began to counsel the victims and, due to his success, became an advocate for them. Andrew Lesnak primarily spoke to those who were diagnosed with the suicidal tendencies and addictions. Overall, the benefits of his volunteerism, not only helped in healing his invisible wounds of the victims, but to Andrew himself. Andrew, taking his role as a committed volunteer to the next level, decided to start The Spero Advocacy Group. The motto of his new organization is consistent with his message of those who suffer: “While I Breathe, I Hope”. The success of Andrew’s hands on approach to mental

health counseling, was never going to be doubted, as he had been a success in his 2 prior careers. In 1982, he played professional baseball within the Minnesota Twin organization. However, due to an unfortunate career ending injury, he had to retire. Then, in 1985, Andrew decided to put his efforts into the field of financial planning, where he owned and operated his firm for over 25 years.
