EECS Alliance

Connecting industry with tomorrow’s leaders

Positioned uniquely within the MIT School of Engineering and Schwarzman College of Computing, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) is the largest department at MIT. Covering the full range of computer, information and energy systems, EECS brings the world’s most brilliant faculty and students together to innovate and explore. From foundational hardware and software systems, to cutting-edge machine learning models and computational methods to address critical societal problems, EECS plays a key role in defining present and future technologies.

The Alliance program offers unparalleled industry access to these future-shaping students for internships, post graduate employment, networking, and collaborations.

EECS

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science annually prepares thousands of graduate and undergraduate students for career leadership in fields such as academia, research, and the high-tech industry. Part of both the School of Engineering and Schwarzman College of Computing, MIT EECS consistently tops the U.S. News & World Report and other college rankings and is widely recognized for its world-class faculty, who provide outstanding education and conduct innovative and award-winning research.

MIT School of Engineering

The MIT School of Engineering’s mission is to educate the next generation of engineering leaders, to create new knowledge, and to serve society. The largest of MIT’s five schools, the School of Engineering comprises about 70 percent of the Institute’s undergraduate majors and 45 percent of graduate students. Just over a third of MIT’s faculty are in the school, and they generate more than half of the sponsored research at the Institute.
