Hadassah Honors Phyllis Fried and Joe Ginsberg by JEWISH PRESS News Service
Omaha Chapter of Hadassah will finalize its year with the HIES, Hadassah Israel Education Services luncheon. Hadassah College of Technology and Hadassah Career Counseling Center benefit Israel's youth and adults by providing education for meaningful and gainful occupations. The luncheon will be held Wednesday, May 23, 11:30 aon., at Happy Hollow Country Club, 1701 S. 105th St.. The luncheon starts at 11:45. a.m.; cost is $13 per person. Reservations can be made by calling Georgia Ann Steinberg at 5585813, or Faye Ruback at 391-2788. Phyllis Fried and Joe Ginsberg will be Phyllis Fried
honored with the Certification of Thanks in Recognition of Dedication. Fried is a Life Member of Hadassah and has served on its Board for six years as recording and corresponding secretary. She volunteered many hours to the Bargain Box and, to Fried, it was a labor of love. Her tireless devotion to Hadassah, from making phone calls to baking to planning events, makes her a worthy recipient of the "Certificate of Thanks." Ginsberg's efforts on behalf of Hadassah will also be recognized. From technical support on the Joe Ginsberg
computer, countless mailings, Bargain Box volunteer to support for every planned event, Ginsberg is there. He has also been active in the men's group, Hadassah Associates, for many years. But being "the right hand man" to the president is, indeed, his. biggest mitzvah. For his loyalty and support to Hadassah's President, his wife, Beth, a "Certificate of Thanks" will be awarded. The luncheon concludes with entertainment by Ozzie Nogg, Dik Weiner, Tuffy Epstein and Dr. Howard Gendleman.
