The Warsaw office of the Hias has issued a warning against forwarding prepaid tickets to relatives abroad. The trouble with prepaids is that many immigrants, owing to the 3 per cent immigration law, cannot get their passports and visas, and consequently can not make use of these tickets to the United. States. .If money is sent them, they* can use the money to go elsewhere. Persons here are therefore" advised • not- to send, prepaids. The prepaid tickets may be redeemed in the United States but this entails a great loss of .time as well as a loss of money.

Composer of "Eili, Eili" is Now Poor—a Messenger; Song is Famous

Mrs. Fels'-to ..Hove Home to Palestine, Says sHer

SUBSCRIPTION PRICE, A YEAR, $2.50. ERRED IN HEBREW Enrico Caruso wrote Hebrew but he wrote it incorrectly. A plaque moulded by Caruso himself, showing the tenor in the part of Eleazar in "La Juive," was signed by Caruso in Hebrew —"Enrico Caruso-Eleazar," but in writing "Eleazar," he began the word with an "Ayen" instead of an "Aleph."
