Sam Fried was instrumental in creating the memorial, seen behind him. Lay and professional leadership of Omaha’s Jewish community recently met at the Nebraska Holocaust Memorial for a program designed to highlight the importance of the site to the community. The Nebraska Holocaust Memorial is located at Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln. Wyuka is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
