by OZZIE NOGG On Wednesday, Feb. 19, eight Russian-speaking seniors boarded the Jewish Senior Services bus and took a day trip to the Joslyn Art Museum. JSS staff members Shelly Fox, Director of Outreach and Admissions and Maggie Conti, Director of Activities and Outreach Programs, accompanied the group. Anna Mosenkis served as translator. “We spent the morning exploring the two new permanent exhibits of the American Indian: Art and Innovation and The Arts of Asia,” Fox said, “and then enjoyed a nice lunch at the Durham Café at Joslyn. The participants were so appreciative. They had a wonderful outing and said they’d like to visit the Museum again.” The Russian Cultural Club is an important focus of JSS. “Shelly and I really enjoy working with our Russ-

“but she does much more than that. Anna helps organize events from the beginning stages, maintains the mailing roster and keeps in contact with RCC participants to get their ideas for future programming. We couldn’t do our work for the Russian Cultural Club without Anna.” In the spring, Fox and Conti plan to screen a Russian-language movie for the group. Programming for the Russian Cultural club is underwritten by The Shirley and Leonard Goldstein Supporting Foundation Fund. “We are so grateful for their generous support,” Conti and Fox said.
