Over 350 people recently flocked to Queen’s College Fitzgerald Gym on Sunday, November 3, to participate in the fourth annual Eldercare Expo for seniors and their caregivers. The event was coordinated by The JCC of Marine Park, Chazaq, New York United Jewish, in partnership with Schneps Media. The event featured informational seminars and more than 50 vendor booths showcasing a variety of facilities, products, and services such as assisted living, home care, pooled trusts, and legal advice.

Igud HaRabbonim (the Rabbinical Alliance of America), representing over 950 American rabbis, congratulated Dr. Joseph Frager on receiving semicha from Kollel Ayshel Avraham Rabbinical Seminary headed by Rav Yaakov Spivak, who is also a presidium member of the Igud HaRabbonim. Igud HaRabbonim appointed Dr. Frager as the chairman of its Israel Advocacy Commission.

Last week, a new Magen David Adom Mobile Intensive Care Unit ambulance was inaugurated in memory of Amiad Yisrael Ish-Ran, who was killed as a result of injuries his mother Shira sustained in a terror attack in Ofra, Israel, last year. Shira was in the 30th week of pregnancy. MDA teams administered lifesaving medical care and evacuated her to a nearby hospital, where doctors performed an emergency cesarean section to deliver the premature baby. The newborn passed away three days later. The Mobile Intensive Care Unit ambulance (MICU) will be operating in the Jerusalem area.
