This Remembrance Pin serves as a tribute to the estimated 1.5 million children who lost their lives during the Holocaust, alongside six million European Jews, representing your compassion and remembrance.

Daffodils symbolize the yellow stars Jews wore during the Holocaust, with yellow representing remembrance They embody hope for the future, as their resilience and vibrant return each spring signify hope, renewal, and beauty.

The pin also serves as a reminder that you stand against hate; then, now, and in the future. It is not too late to get your pin. Order one today!

Second Fridays resume August 14!

Tree of Life Community Klatsches include a Book Club Klatsch, Dinner with Friends Klatsch, and Klatsch on the Move.

Mazel Tov David

Tree of Life member, David Potter, is receiving the TOL Brotherhood Eddie Hertz Community Service award on Saturday, June 28 at a BBQ for his dedication and hard work. David Potter is the kind of congregant every synagogue dreams of having. Carrying his toolbox and a twinkle in his bright blue eyes, David can fix anything - from a flickering light to a squeaky hinge on a door. His hands are rough from years of hands-on work, but his demeanor is endlessly gentle. People say that when David is around, even the stubbornest ice maker seems to cooperate.

MEMORIALDAY

Honoringthosesacrificeditall

The Jewish Community of Columbia includes many veterans of the US Uniformed Services, spanning many generations, ranks, and conflicts One way that the VA recognizes and honors the diversity of America is the inclusion of nearly 80 different emblems of belief from a wide variety of religions, philosophies, or other identities. Rabbi Uriarte and 18 members of Tree of Life, along with Rabbi Norry and Risa Strauss from Beth Shalom, joined with many others at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery on Friday, May 23rd. Together, we did our part in planting flags on the 10,083 graves of US veterans as an honor to their service ahead of Memorial Day. It was a powerful reminder that our diversity is our strength in living up to the highest ideals of whatAmerica is and can be.
