ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Jessie Donley I am a recent graduate from Arizona State University, a CIDA-accredited institution. I am known for my drive and adaptive personality. Being a first-generation college student has taught me the importance of pursuing my interests and instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility.
I have a passion for design and all it has to offer. I strive to create spaces that encapsulate personality and creativity, as well as being successfully designed for the task at hand.
Since a young age I have been enthralled in creative spaces and activities, from painting, singing, crafting, and my schooling. I have learned to pay attention to the smallest details and to always step back as well as look at the bigger picture when those details get too complex.
Bringing this creative energy to the table, I want to create those spaces where people feel like they can fully be themselves. I abide by the sentiment of never holding back “crazy ideas” and prioritizing sustainability in my product of design.

Workplace Project
Fall 2024
Chicago, IL
NEXT is a global advertising agency with locations in New York, London, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, with their newest location being in Chicago. Their team mantra of “being more human,” is echoed throughout their work of creating comfortable and growing spaces for their employees.
Pulling inspiration from the Women of the 1893 World Fair in Chicago. Where a women’s organization pushed for the “Women’s Pavilion” to showcase the works of women, over time, femininity has been seen as a weakness, but it is the key to creation. We work exclusively with women-facilitated businesses to keep in line with the ideals of the Women of the World Fair. This project reflects NEXT’s value to change and impact culture through creativity.

Hospitality Project
Fall 2023
Phoenix, AZ
Located in the Frederick on Missouri, this project was based on the given client bios as well as the building shells. Each student was expected to create a retail space that fulfilled the needs of each client they were given.
Creating a bright and colorful retail space allows for a rich atmosphere of community and culture. It works to take back natural curl patterns through various products and services.

This rendering is of the cash wrap in the salon/ retail space. Here there will be accessibility to curl friendly products and services.

Habitat for Humanity works with people in the community and around the world to help them build or fix up their homes. Homeowners help build their own houses with volunteers and pay a mortgage they can afford. With the community's help, families can gain the strength, stability, and independence they need for a better future.
This was a team project in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity in the Fall of 2022 that was chosen to be brought to life in the Spring of 2023. It was a surprise to the receiving family and it truly was an amazing experience for all members involved. Having the pleasure to meet with the family, interview them, and create their new home for the first time was an unforgettable and life changing experience.

PERSONAL ART

Since a young age, I have been interested in the arts. From painting to photography, there are so many different medias of art I enjoy exploring.
These examples have been created throughout the years, from high school to now. Being crafty is my escape from burnout and everyday stresses.
