Connectingpeoplewitha sitewasthemainthemeof thisproject.Afterchoosing anappropriatesitelocation withincertainparametersof campus, thesiteinstallation ideawasthenextobstacle.
Thinkingofawayofhowto connectpeoplewiththeidea ofsharingkindnessand positivitywasthetheme chosen.Fromthis, using postcardswithpositive messagesandnatural elementalslikeleavesto formthemainfocalpointof thewordkindhelpedconvey thismessagetoeveryoneon campus.
Thisprojectrequiredchoosinganobjecttotransformand showthroughthehorizontal,vertical,“eggcrate”,andfree formmaterial.ChoosingaDocMartens,thehorizontal formallowedthedetailsofshape,thickness,andformof theboottobeemphasized.Thehorizontalformallowed theshapesofcurvesandimperfectionsoftheleather materialtobeemphasized.The“eggcrate”formallowed theshape,interiordepth,andthicknesstobeemphasized.
