Youth Tech Inc. is a non-profit computer camp dedicated to

providing enrichment opportunities for students with a passion for learning, in a family friendly environment. Youth Tech courses give students the opportunity to explore the edges of their imagination, with beginner to advanced courses. During the off season, Youth Tech researches the latest exciting trends in technology and works to develop partnerships with organizations and institutions to continue to give their campers a competitive edge.

The Miracle League of Wichita provides an opportunity for children ages 5-18 with special needs to play baseball. With a specially designed rubber surface field, The Miracle League makes dreams come true for children of all abilities. Youth Coed Tee Ball Wanting to ease your kid into organized team sports? Check out our youth coed Tee Ball League! This league is for grades 7th -12th and will help improve team chemistry while also sharpening the skills for quarterbacks, wide receivers, pass catching running backs, pass catching fullbacks, tight ends, safety’s, defensive backs and linebackers. ADULT SPORTS LEAGUES Adult Coed Kickball League

Come and relive your childhood glory days with this classic recess game! Kickball is a fun and purely recreational game that will get your heart rate up while keeping your stress level down. Season is six weeks with 12 double header games. Games will be played on Wednesday evenings. City of Wichita Golf League Two-player teams face off against an opposing twosome for nine holes each Sunday. The team’s lowest score on each hole is added to determine their overall score. Teams are handicapped and put into flights after the second week of play. This league takes place over eight Sundays. Play rotates between our Wichita Public Golf Courses. Fees must be paid in advance to eliminate forfeits. Green fees are included in your registration fee. Ages 14+. Group Lessons

Starting New at Golf (SNAG)

Wichita Public Golf Courses are going to make sure you have a great experience in a beginner group lesson! Day one is spent touring the facility and getting comfortable at the course. Days two through four are all about technique, putting, chipping, driving and more. Day five is spent on the course playing three holes, using everything you learned in the first four classes! Your beginner lessons don’t end there. You will receive five 9-hole green fee passes (VALUED AT $102!) to use at any Wichita Public Golf Course so that you can keep practicing the skills you learned. Once you have taken a beginner class, you can then move on to a next step class to continue to grow as a golfer. Visit golfwichita.com to register for any class.

SNAG is the best first touch program to effectively teach the game of golf! SNAG contains all the elements of golf, in a modified form, breaking down techniques so children as young as six years old can follow along. Children learn proper grip, club sizes and swing speed. The instructors are able to utilize the SNAG equipment to create a fun learning environment that will keep a child’s attention for the full session!

Student Green Fee Juniors (17 and under) pay $10 to play anytime! PGA Jr. League The best word to sum up the PGA Jr. League, AMAZING! Wichita Public Golf Courses are excited to offer the PGA Jr. League at Auburn Hills, Tex Consolver, Arthur B. Sim and MacDonald Park. The structured league features teamvs-team competition providing a popular, less stressful, scramble game. This is the perfect opportunity for your child to learn new skills or advance their golf game during weekly practices and matches. Let your child start their path in golf and grow to be ready to play in middle school, high school or later on in life. Registration begins March 1 and ends May 15. Throughout the summer, youth ages 9-13, will compete against each other and players from other area golf courses. This program focuses on team building, growing confidence on the golf course and having fun with teammates creating the bond kids get in team sports. Wichita Junior Golf The Wichita Junior Golf Foundation (WJGF) is a great program for golfers ages 9-18. Discover the game of golf on the course during this eight-week program for $20. Junior Golf teaches all skill levels from beginners to intermediate golfers, focusing on rules, etiquette and care for the course and equipment. Registration for Junior Golf is just a click away. Take advantage of our new and improved online registration starting April 16! The regular program starts Monday, June 3, for returning golfers. Tournaments Shamrock Scramble Let’s celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the fifth annual Shamrock Scramble! Start off the morning with a warmup session on the driving range before the tournament begins. During the tournament, enjoy drinking green beer with your team. Lunch will be provided and prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the event. Tex Turmoil

Juniors are eligible for a $10,000 college scholarship after participating in WJGF for four years!

This tournament offers challenging pin placements and tee markers in non-traditional locations. Your team changes tees based on scores from the previous hole. Make a bogey, no problem. You'll play the red tees on the next hole. Make a birdie on a hole, play the blue tees on the next hole. Each player will get two drink tickets. Tournament will be flighted, so you don’t have to be a great golfer to win. Prizes will be awarded. Junior Group Lessons The Tennis Center has an extensive youth tennis program that builds skills quickly and allows participants to achieve success in a fun and fast paced tennis atmosphere. All participants are grouped by ability and register by monthly session. Instructor approval is required to move into the next level. These cool and innovative camps are completely interactive and hands-on. Campers will be able to show and share their creations with friends and family at the end of each camp. Attain a higher level of movement efficiency, proper posture and core stabilization with one-on-one personal training! Monthly assessments will help track progress and ensure goals are being met. Wichita City Council & Board of Park Commissioners Wichita City Council The City Council is made up of six elected officials representing six different areas of Wichita. City Councilors propose, vote on and pass the laws that govern the city.

City Council meetings are held the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Tuesdays at 9:00 am in the Council Chambers in City Hall. Meetings are not held if the Tuesday falls on a holiday or if it is the 5th Tuesday of the month.

Once a written withdrawal request is received, the refund/ credit amount is determined based on the request date. Refunds may take up to three weeks to process. The $1 online registration convenience fee is non-refundable.

Every effort is made to maintain standard operations during inclement weather. However, if a class cancellation is necessary, we will attempt to notify you by phone or email. All efforts are made to reschedule canceled classes.

Credits placed on your recreation account are available until the end of each calendar year, at which time a refund will be issued, less a $5 administrative fee.

Reserve your spot by registering at least three days prior to the class start date. Payment is due when registering. Decisions affecting classes are made in advance, so register early to prevent an unnecessary class cancellation! Late registrations will be accepted if space and materials are available.

I agree to release, indemnify, and hold the City of Wichita, its agents, officers and employees (City) harmless from any and all liability claims, actions, judgments, damages or injuries of every kind and nature whatsoever to myself, the participant(s) I am authorizing, and/ or his or her property, when that damage or injury arises from participation in activities for which the participant is registered. I further acknowledge that I have familiarized myself with the description of the activities, understand the hazards and the participant’s personal limitations and knowingly assume all risks. I acknowledge I have read and understand this Liability Waiver, Release and Indemnity Agreement, and understand that I am waiving any claim that may arise against the City for any harm sustained as a result of any activity for which I am registering or for which I am registering a minor child. By registering for this class, activity or event, I grant permission to the City of Wichita, its agents and employees, to take photographs, video, or other images of me and/or the persons I am registering during such class, activity or event and to use the images in any media at any time and for any public purpose as reasonably determined by the City of Wichita.
