To unlock the door use the August Lock App. On your "Keychain" select "Cabin on Canyon." The home screen will appear with a large RED button. Press the button to unlock the door. Once the door is unlocked, the RED button will become a GREEN circle. *The door automatically locks after 10 minutes*

1. Open the main water shut off, which is outside on the Southwest corner of the property. Use a large screwdriver or the fireplace poker to rotate the value 90 degrees (from OFF to ON). Open the valuve slowly and do not use excessive force. You will hear water begin to rush to the house.

2. Once on, turn on the faucet in the house to allow for air to run out of the lines and the water to flow.

HOT WATER HEATER I N S T R U C T I O N

When away, the hot water heater is set to "Vacation" mode. To increase the temperature: go to the water heater closet outside the bathroom, remove the faceplate, turn the dial from "Vacation Low" to your desired water temperature level.

The floor furnace is set to 55º when away. To increase the temperature, use the thermostat at the base of the stairwell. Please do not set it higher than 72º. The downstairs bedroom has a wallmounted space heater that can be controlled using the remote located on the bed-side table.

1. Turn on the hot and cold faucets in the kitchen and bathroom 2. Locate the main water shut off, and use the firepoker to rotate the valve 90 degrees from the ON position to the OFF position. Do not use excessive force.

3. Once off, open the hose valve under the kitchen window for about 5 minutes. (At that point the water should be trickling) 4. Turn off the faucets in the kitchen and bathroom.

5. Flush the toilet to drain the tank 6. Add 1 cup of Anti-freeze to all of the drains and toilet (including kitchen, bathroom, shower, toilet tank)

Go to the water heater closet outside the bathroom, remove the faceplate, and turn the dial back to "Vacation Low" then replace the faceplate.

Before leaving, keep the heat ON and set the thermostat at the base of the stairs to 55 degrees. Set the wall heater in the downstais bedroom to 55 degrees as well.

Please leave the following on when you leave: front porch light and the light at the top of the stairs.
