A Note from the Editor-in-Chief...

T

his year has been one unlike any other for most of us. There has been a lot of uncertainty in so

many areas of our lives. One thing that I am grateful for this year is the fact that even when everything else is crazy, I can still find some beauty and inspiration. Every time I check into the Beautiful World group, the amazing artists that are a part of that community impress me with their visions and creativity. It so important in times like we are in that one has a village to support them - in an industry that is so frequently quick to judge and compete, this group has continued to be one which lives up to its name.

While this issue is a little bit smaller than the last, it still is an incredible collection of talent. I hope that this issue brings you some inspiration, even if times are dark for you right now.

T hanksgiving is celebrated in the United

HOLIDAY TRADITIONS

States in November, but across the globe, many are preparing special meals for a variety of Holidays. This inspired us to ask our Beautiful World Group members to submit images of favorite holiday dinners, and if possible, to share their recipes. We hope you find inspiration for your own family table here and remember to see the beauty in all little details of your world.

Cinnamon Pumpkin Cake Recipe Ingredients:

Instructions:

(Measures are EU, not US)

Cook the pumpkin for 10 minutes and puree it.

Mix the butter with sugar and add the eggs one by one. Then add the self raising flour and the pumpkin and mix well. Then add the cinnamon, cranberries, grated ginger and a bit salt. Stir. Bake on 175 degrees for 60 minutes.

Enjoy.

100gr butter 300gr pumpkin 100gr dark sugar 2 eggs 200gr self raising flour 50gr cranberries 4gr cinnamon 2cm ginger

Cranberry Sauce Recipe: Instructions: Mix the sugar, juice, water, and salt until combined in saucepan.Turn heat up to medium and add the cranberries, cinnamon, and orange peel. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring often. The berries will begin to pop. Let it cool, then cover and refrigerate until it is time to serve. Alternatively, you can serve it warm.

Ingredients: 12 oz fresh Cranberries, washed 3/4 cup Orange Juice 1/4 cup Water 1 Cinnamon stick (and/or Ground Cinnamon to taste) Orange Peel 3-4 Tbsp sugar, if desired Pinch of Salt

Ingredients:

Pumpkin Pancake Recipe Instructions: Mix dry ingredients first, then add the wet ingredients.

Be careful not to over mix! Heat lightly oiled or buttered griddle or frying pan to a medium-medium high heat.

Scoop batter in dollops onto to heated pan or griddle and cook until golden brown on both sides.

1 cup Flour 1.5 tbsp Light Brown Sugar 1&1/2tsp Baking Powder 1/2 tsp Baking Soda 1/2 tsp Ground Allspice 1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon 1/4 tsp Salt 3/4 cup Milk 1/2 cup Canned Pumpkin Puree 1 Large Egg 1 tbsp oil 1 tbsp Vinegar

DR: I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada) with my husband Andy and our two rescue pups, Gracie and Bennie. We are very blessed to live in such a beautiful province, with countless opportunities to explore. I enjoy photography in several different settings, such as nature, landscapes and architecture such as old, abandoned buildings.

I have always enjoyed nature, even as a child. I could sit for hours and draw birds or just wander off on my own.

When we were kids, my Mom would always drag us to the English Garden in Assiniboine Park (Winnipeg). I dreaded every moment. Fast forward to today, it's my favourite place.

DesirĂŠe's Nature Photography Tips Patience!

I can't stress this enough.

Safety first.

It's easy to get excited when you see a bird or an animal that is on your bucket list.

But always make sure that it is safe to do so. This also means not invading their space and stressing the animal out to get the shot. Don't put yourself in harm's way.

Be quiet.

Birds and animals are easily spooked.

Take lots of photos.

Especially with birds. They move so fast. I once took over 1,000 photos of the same hummingbird. I guess I got caught up in the moment.
