The district won the 2019 award for accumulating the highest sum of points in three categories: submitting safety ideas, developing safety videos and completing safety training. The award has completed its rounds at the Christiansburg, Martinsville and Salem residencies. This winter, it is touring the District Complex and Operations. Next, it will visit the Bedford Residency, which will bring its tour to a conclusion.
