Program, which saw the first batch onboarded and onsite. • Hutchies Toowoomba winning the “Big Dog” Award, given to the team that makes the most profit for the year. • Hutchies Toowoomba winning the “Blue Jacket” award, given to the team that has the highest % of profit for the year. • Annual Clay Target Shooting. • Leadership Group Business Planning Weekend. Saturday went for 10.5 hrs and developed some valuable content. • Annual Social Club Trip, this year at the Sunny Coast . • Gavin Taylor winning the Hutchies nationwide ‘Estimator of the Year’ award. • Bowie, Pete Lee and Reggie Cass all seeing their days out with Hutchies. • Cleaning up at the Master Builders Awards night . • Everyone getting a chance to appreciate and applaud our OG’s with personal videos at the Christmas Party. • An awesome Kids Christmas Party with Josh Lee looking fairly uncomfortable as Santa. • Winning some great work like Tara Hospital, Normanton Hospital, Key Workers Accommodation, Manjali Studio Schools, etc. Took a heap of pressure off next year. • NextGen Training – great arvo. • Enjoying plenty of celebratory drinks IE. Mylne St, HJ’s, Kotzur, Bulky Goods, MMC etc. etc. to name a few.
• Davo’s send-off party. • Watching the Western Clydesdales play from Hutchies Hill. I was proud of Hutchies playing a role in getting a Toowoomba team back in the comp. • Opening of the new Toowoomba Office. I feel really positive about 2024 and the opportunities • Hutchies’ revamped Cadet that will present themselves for us in the coming
years. I feel we have fought pretty hard to get ourselves into a great position over the last couple of years and feel we are in great shape to capitalise on this over the next few to come. We just can’t put our feet up on the desk. We must continue to improve in all areas so that we continue to be the only real choice when people are thinking commercial construction in Toowoomba. If we stick with our NextGen philosophy, each of us print out and live by an ‘above the line’ approach to our work in our various roles, I have no doubt we will be rewarded with a great culture and plenty of work, long into the future. We will get the team we deserve, it’s up to each of us to decide what that looks like. Thanks to each and every one of you for your contribution to a great year. Please enjoy a wonderful Xmas and New Year period and I look forward to another big year with you all next year.

Another year in the books! Feels like only yesterday we were having our final ever break-up bash at Prescott St last Christmas (not that we knew it then). Christmas time is always one of reflection for me, where I take stock of what we have achieved for the year, what we did well, didn’t do well and where we are at as a team and business. I reckon this year there is more in the “did well” column.
