Jessica Martinelli ILLUSTRATOR

BIOGRAPHY
Jessica Martinelli was born in Forlì in 1991. Since she was a child she has been interested in drawing and figurative art. This passion of hers led her to graduate from the artistic high school of her city with a focus on painting.
For a few years she painted and exhibited her paintings, but only in 2019, after following Anna Castagnoli’s course “A journey through the album”, she fell in love with the world of illustration and decided to make it her profession. She began studying as self-taught and following various courses, including “Camaleòn professione illustratore” by Annalisa Vasquez, aka Kala.
In 2022 and 2023 her storyboard was selected for the exhibition of the Livio Sossi illustration contest for Lucca Junior within the Lucca Comics and Game festival.
In July 2023, thanks to the collaboration with the writer Monica Facchini, she published her first illustrated book entitled “Tornando a casa”, published by Edity publishing.
