BAM Opening Ceremonies February 4th at 7:00PM United Black Students and Multicultural Student Affairs will be hosting the 2013 Black Awareness Month Opening Ceremonies on February 4th at 7:00PM in the Wesley Art Gallery. Opening Ceremonies will feature American spoken word artist Taalam Acey. Acey has been featured on BET, TV One, and has authored four books. College MENtality Series February 7th at 7:00PM On February 7th at 7:00PM in Mahoney Master’s Apartment, Multicultural Student Affairs, the Omicron Delta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and Future Black Communication Professionals will host “Leadership Within a Man.” This interactive program will engage your thoughts and opinions on what it means to be a black male leader. MLK Candle Light Closing Ceremonies January 30th at 7:00PM We’ve been to the Mountaintop and it is now time to reflect on our journey. With a discussion of the events of this past week, we will explore the impact MLK Week has had on the community in order to solidify individual connections to Dr. King and his legacy.
