Open Morning
A morning in secondary
We would like to welcome you and your child to the Arabian Ranches site on Thursday October 9th at 9:00am – 11:00am.
This is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet the secondary team, and to observe the secondary school in action
During the morning you will have the opportunity to tour the secondary site with your child and meet the leadership team for a presentation and informal discussions. Please complete this sign up FORM to register your attendance.
Your child will also have the opportunity to meet some of the teaching staff and experience an activity whilst you are listening to the Director’s and Headteacher’s presentation
Please complete the following form HERE with your child’s choice of activity. Please note there are maximum numbers for some of the activities, and whilst we will endeavour to place every child with their first choice this may not always be possible.

Assessment Day
The Year 7 2026 assessment day will take place on Sunday November 9 at 9:00am. th
The admissions team will have already been in contact with you regarding this.
The format of the assessment is the GL CAT4 assessment and a short-written assessment. If your child has a special education need, please let the admissions team know so that accommodations can be put in place
Your child will need to bring a pen, pencil, ruler, water bottle and snack The timings will be confirmed nearer the date.

The things in the past two weeks that I really liked about JESS are, the credit cards (we don’t have to bring cash, instead we can just put money on the card and pay at the counter). Another thing that I liked was all the resources we can use during the lessons (on device and off device ) Another thing I liked was the house points system because it makes us work harder. The teachers are also really nice, and lessons often include fun activities. Lastly, the school is also very welcoming and all the students and staff are welcoming to us.
JESS secondary has been a fun and exciting time for me so far The people and teachers have been very friendly and kind and I have enjoyed all my lessons and ECAs.

In JESS Secondary, I have really enjoyed the people and the staff as well as the sports. I feel included and comfortable which helps me learn and focus on my studies.
The past two weeks at JESS have been exciting and new, there are subjects I have not tried before and grown to love, and I have made many new friends. I love how JESS caters to all interests; crochet, theatre, art, sport, and more. The ECAs are all different and fun. It shows JESS's core values especially commitment, curiosity, and excellence
I have really enjoyed my first two weeks at secondary and I enjoy going to the library and all of my teachers are really nice. Drama, DT and Art are probably my favourite subjects so far. I have also made some really good friends
