The Boca Raton CHARITY REGISTER

BOCA MAGAZINE’S RED-CARPET GUIDE TO THIS YEAR’S SOCIAL SEASON

Moments that Count

From her first steps as a baby to her last chemotherapy treatment, Kealy and her family have celebrated lots of life’s big moments at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

She was only 10 months old when Carmen Ballestas, MD, diagnosed Kealy with neuroblastoma, a type of cancer, and the family started down an intense yearlong treatment path. The collaborative care and support services we provided were of great comfort to the family.

“Dr. Ballestas really showed us how much she cared for our family and Kealy. At that point I knew that we were in the right place,” says her dad, Mike.

You, too, can help save a child’s life. Donate to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and help us make every moment count for children like Kealy.

Welcome to the 2024-2025 issue of Boca Raton magazine’s Charity Register!

It’s that time of year again, when our social season launches into full gear—a way of life in Boca Raton that has been embraced for decades by the community. As Boca magazine goes into its 45th year, I can’t help but reflect on how our gala season has grown over the last five decades—I remember in the early days attending a ball themed like a Scottish castle and crossing a moat in a floor-length gown. Our local charities have only upped the ante since then, and the next few months will be full of a dizzying array of events, from luncheons and galas to creative, themed fundraisers that range from sporting events to ballroom dancing competitions.

This year’s Charity Register highlights many of these events so our readers can get a head start on planning their social calendars and support. Boca Raton is known for its philanthropy, and this detailed Register can help us meet those obligations—while celebrating community.

We hope this special guide will help your efforts in supporting local organizations dedicated to those in need, while at the same time enjoying the buzzing social life of our exciting city, Boca Raton.

Have a wonderful season, with best wishes from Boca magazine.

Let’s game plan your giving

These days, the number of charitable organizations and opportunities can be overwhelming for an unprepared giver. And there can be a big difference between giving just to give, and giving in a way that truly makes a difference.

Creating a meaningful giving plan should complement your asset strategies and reflect your passions. That way, your money goes where it can have the impact that matters most to you — and who you’re giving to.

So if you’re interested in giving with intent, we’d love to offer you a complimentary session. Let’s connect.
