Henrik Cronqvist China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) Dr Henrik Cronqvist is the Group Chair Professor of Finance at CEIBS based in Shanghai, China. He conducts inter-disciplinary research and teaches finance, entrepreneurship, and management. His research has been published in the Economist, Wall Street Journal, and on CNBC.

Greg Dooley Computershare Investor Services Greg Dooley is the Managing Director of Computershare’s Investor Services division in Australia, responsible for the provision of registry services to nearly half of Australia’s listed companies as well as a large number of non-listed entities. He will join fellow panellists Gordon Hagart and Dean Paatsch to debate issues with Stephen Mayne.

Paula Dwyer Tabcorp Paula Dwyer is the Chairman of Tabcorp Holdings Limited, Chairman of Healthscope Limited, director of the ANZ Banking Group and Lion Pty Limited.

Richard Goyder Wesfarmers Richard Goyder AO was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Wesfarmers Limited in 2004 and assumed the role of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer in 2005. Wesfarmers has more than 500,000 shareholders and with a workforce of more than 200,000 people, is the country’s largest private sector employer.

Ross Greenwood Channel Nine and 2GB Ross Greenwood is the Nine Network’s business and finance editor, and hosts Sydney’s top-rating radio program, Money News, for 2GB each evening.

Together with Roger Mongtomery they will present an enlightening ‘on air’ discussion explaining and revealing how the most successful investors have made it, kept it and spent it.

Gordon Hagart Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI) Gordon Hagart has been the CEO of ACSI since 2013, and is responsible for leading the development and execution of ACSI’s strategy.

Gordon has an extensive background in financial services and most recently was Head of ESG Risk Management at the Future Fund, the Australian Government’s $100bn sovereign wealth fund.

Peter Kirby has been the Chairman and NonExecutive Director of DuluxGroup since 2010. Peter was formerly the Chairman of Medibank Private Ltd, Director of Orica Ltd, Macquarie Group, Macquarie Bank and the Business Council of Australia. He was also the former Managing Director of CSR Ltd and former CEO of ICI Paints worldwide.

As Group Chief Economist, Alan Oster is responsible for NAB’s global economic and financial forecasts.

Andrew Macken Montgomery Investment Management Andrew Macken joined Montgomery Investment Management in 2014 after spending four years as a Senior Research Analyst under Jim Chanos at Kynikos Associates in New York. Australian banks have been good performers up until recently is this likely to change? Andrew will provide an outlook for the major four and the sector as a whole.

Stephen Mayne Shareholder Advocate Stephen Mayne is a Walkley Award winning business journalist who has worked for major metropolitan newspapers. He founded Crikey.com and currently publishes the Mayne Report. A former City of Manningham councillor, he currently serves on Melbourne City Council, where he chairs the Finance and Governance committee.

Roger Montgomery Montgomery Investment Management Roger Montgomery is the founder, Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Montgomery Investment Management. Roger published his stock market guide, Value.able, in 2010. He appears fortnightly on the ABC’s The Business program as well as Sky Business and ABC Radio, and writes regular commentary for major financial publications and newspapers.

Elizabeth Moran FIIG Securities Elizabeth Moran is the Director of Education and Fixed Income Research at FIIG Securities. Elizabeth has over 20 years finance experience, writes a regular column in The Australian and is frequently quoted in other press. Elizabeth will both highlight what to look for when investing in hybrids and provide alternative investments.

Jamie Nemtsas Sornem Private Wealth Jamie Nemtsas is Director of Sornem Private Wealth and a part owner of the Centre for Investor Education. Jamie has worked in wealth and asset management for 18 years. He is a co-author of the book ‘You don’t have to be rich to become wealthy: The Baby Boomers Investment Bible’ and is a keynote speaker in the finance sector.

Dean Paatsch co-founded Proxy Australia, a boutique proxy voting advisory service and governance researcher, in 2003. He is the author of numerous opinion pieces, regulatory submissions and is a well-known media commentator on governance issues.

Marcus Padley Marcus Today Marcus Padley is the author of the Marcus Today daily share market newsletter and a published author. He is well known for his regular columns and appearances on ABC TV and Radio. Marcus, in addition to the final plenary on Monday, will provide a hands on session designed to lay some foundations for those starting out.

Geoff Sherwin ASA A Chartered Accountant and Company Director, Geoff Sherwin was a senior partner with RSM Bird Cameron until 1995 before completing an education degree. He has delivered financial analysis training programs for the AICD, the Securities Institute of Australia and the ASA. Geoff will deliver 2 sessions demonstrating how to analyse a company’s performance.

David Stevens Contango MicroCap Ltd David Stevens is Managing Director of Contango MicroCap Ltd and Chief Investment Officer for Contango Asset Management Ltd. Prior to launching Contango in 1998, David held executive roles with HSBC Asset Management. Douglas Turek Professional Wealth Dr Douglas Turek is Managing Director and Principal Advisor of family wealth advisory firm Professional Wealth. Doug writes regularly on investment strategy and portfolio construction in the Eureka Report and is a regular guest on ABC Radio in Victoria. Doug will help investors refine their asset allocation in light of their ‘investment style’.

Geoffrey Wilson Wilson Asset Management Geoffrey Wilson has 34 years’ experience in the Australian and international securities industry.
