Changes on tap for next year

Renovations, new security set for summer Sabrina Ulloa Opinion Editor

School renovations are expected to be done during the summer to renew and make the school a safer place for students, including new security measures. “The main things that came out of our safety audit this year were needing a better presence at the front of our school,” principal, Chris Scott said. Due to other safety incidents earlier in the year, by the end of this summer the school will have been renewed once again after so many years. “Basically when you come in the door you sort of walk straight in so we are going to do some configuration changes right there for next year,” Scott said. The receptionist desk will have some changes done so that when someone comes in it is not as accessible to enter the school as it is now. The front of the school is an important part of the school because it provides a welcoming ambiance for prospective students & parents, visitors, and guests. “It’s not per se going to be a reconstruction, it’s going to be some additional components we are going to add to the front that are going to provide for a better way to create barriers in the front so that its not just an easy sort of See NEW CARPET, Page 15
