As I was walking through the downtown area, taking in the 12 new works of art on display for the 2022 Art On The Streets, I went past the mural – Jade, by Julio “Juls” Mendoza of Denver, Colorado. Juls is a multidisciplinary artist who celebrates his heritage through art. His style is Cultural Surrealism which focuses on cultural identity, community and social justice. Using his own traditions, food, people and colors he works to inspire others with his art.
