UDS Thinsulate™ Type U Ultra Thinsulate™ thermal insulation offers a mid-loft alternative within the Thinsulate™ family of products. Type U is designed for use where a thin compressible insulation is important. It is breathable, moisture resistant and can be washed or dry cleaned. It can be used in general outerwear, sportswear, gloves and accessories. It is composed of 55% polyester and 45% polyolefin and has a double sided scrim backing, pre-quilted in 6” (15.2 cm) width, which will allow it to be free hung or edge stabilized. There are no panel size restrictions. It is recommend that you check before using this weight with light color shell fabrics to determine if the quilting lines will show through. This product maintains its insulating ability when damp. The fibers will absorb less than 1% of their weight in moisture. It is easily dried. It passes Flammability Class 1 as tested according to procedure described in 16 CFR Part #1610, Federal Flammable Fabrics Act. Product
