The sale is sorted by breed and age, and we couldn’t think of a better way to lead off. 7098 is a Surveillance x 0084 female that we purchased from PVF, and she knocked it out of the park this year with her ET crop. Loose constructed, flexible, and still stands on a large foot. 4107 has the big, bendy rear leg we all dream about. To top it off she has the soft hairs every showman desires. As you will see in the next few lots our Angus offering is deep and a group we are very proud to offer.
The Floyd family has been securing an impressive set of donor cows, and we were lucky enough to get the opportunity to showcase some of their progeny. This Vegas is out of a full sister to Primo, and one that hit me hard when I first saw her. As you scroll through the sale it will be evident that we like cattle with extra eye appeal but don’t want to sacrifice power and the basic build cattle need to be successful. 422 embodies that combination to the fullest. This neat chested, high tying female has a striking presence and can flat get out and scoot around the pen with ease.

This Encore heifer has us fired up! All summer I knew we had something special here but tried not to get too excited. Encore knocked it out of the park for us and I think this is an incredible heifer. Densely constructed, arrogant about her head and neck, with the added bonus of a thick hair coat. 418 has never had a bad day and cattle like this are what we strive to produce. I don’t need to throw a bunch of fancy adjectives around for this heifer, simply put we think she is very high quality.

Another one that comes to us from the Floyd family with another unique cow backing her. Lot 4 is out of a full sister to the famed The Natural bull that was lost too soon. It seems like every year there is a calf that constantly grows on you the longer you’re around them and for us, 416 was that calf this year. Every day I just continue to like this one more and more. Fault free female that still has some extra punch and look. With no First Class, Style or 24 Karat in her pedigree the mating schemes are endless.

We sold a female last year for the Stagemeyer family out of this same cow that we were awfully fond of. This Good Times heifer comes in a stouter, more extreme package yet is still exceptional at the ground. She doesn’t sacrifice any look with that added muscle, and she is still youthful about her chest. Appreciated by even non Angus enthusiast’s for her extra punch, we think this female has a very high ceiling.

With the added functionality of the 6106 cow combined with the extras Encore stamps in his progeny, this resulting heifer has us excited. 424 has been an absolute joy to work on as she is so shapely yet still throws a mouth watering look. Many moons ago we had a fall born sale with our good friend Zane Ward and were lucky enough to get this one’s mother in the hands of the Sleicther’s. We love the opportunity to market cattle out of past sale highlights and this soft legged, big bodied female has us fired up. Don’t let her quiet nature fool you, on a halter 411 can throw a deadly look. The Force Of Nature cattle had an incredible summer, and this is one we are ready to follow.

M129 is the stouter, more moderate of the two but sacrifices nothing in terms of eye appeal. Although she gave minimal effort in the picture pen she has been one everyone asks about when they come look at calves.

Jimmy’s 512 cow is proving to be a smart investment on his part. We were lucky enough to buy her the same year the Belcher heifer went on a terror in the fall of 2021. In her first ET crop for us she raised the high selling heifer in our 2023 female sale, so we knew we needed to try her to one of the hottest Maine bulls currently. The look that All Me stamps in his progeny is sure evident here. High tying, tight chested and loaded with hair yet sacrifices nothing in terms of power. We believe investing in 512 genetics will prove to be a profitable endeavor and are excited to get some of her daughters in production here.

A true outlier of the set in terms of power and dimension. To be this stout and still be feminine in her overall design and joint work is truly impressive. Along with her wide pin set, this female is robust in her rib shape. Justin Tracy has been known to raise some awesome Chi cattle and crossing that with Griswold’s popular Ole Money bull was a home run. If you’re content with flat cattle that will struggle in the real world this is probably not the calf for you. Anyone who has called about calves, this one is always at the top of my list. To keep it short, I am a large fan of this calf and am having a tough time thinking about the day this one leaves Newton. Her mother won junior nationals in 2021 for Kelton Arthur. The mass this heifer has is captivating and yet she still does that with an extremely attractive look, and an ideal rear leg. Bold about her rib shape, tidy about her chest and still has a wide pin set and square hip. A percent Simmental that I could watch walk for thousands of miles, and I don’t think she would take a bad step. She was late getting to Newton and getting into the swing of being a show heifer, but with better feed and daily hair care she has done nothing but get better in the short time she has been here. The 007 cow is one of the first cows people ask on herd visits. She is a sight to see. High tying, extra punch, and lands on an extremely squishy rear leg. When talking through mating schemes with a good friend this spring, he recommended trying Tree Lane’s Second Chance bull, and after this heifer we will use more. She may not have been blessed in the hair department but when they are built this genuine it doesn’t matter. This moderate female is the definition of turning a cow into a show heifer. In 2018, Maddi felt like she struck gold when she was able to purchase a set of Cardi B eggs out of CampbellCo Cattle’s Derby Day sale. We decided to keep the female result of that purchase as a part of our genetic battery. We lovingly call her Beefy because that female is the definition of cow power. This daughter replicates much of that while combining the attributes of Relentless. She hits the ground with a big foot and she’s durable in her structure.
