GREETINGS FROM THE CAMBRIDGE LAKES COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION STAFF! he Cambridge Lakes Community Association staff is fondly bidding farewell to Fall and relieved to warmly welcome WINTER! The Cambridge Lakes Community GAVE MUCH THIS SEASON. They gave thanks, gave gifts, and gave to those especially in need. We kicked off Fall with children of all ages enjoying the selfguided CHARLIE BROWN HALLOWEEN STORYWALK. This interactive story walk allowed families to enjoy the FALL weather while CHARLIE BROWN taught the kids that having friends makes a great difference. Early November, families gathered outdoors at the Cambridge Lakes Community Center to view the VETERANS BREEZEWAY MEMORIAL which was dedicated to residents past and present who have SERVED OUR COUNTRY in an effort to thank them for their services. Additionally, the staff decorated our main street, Richard J. Brown Blvd. with AMERICAN FLAGS in honor of VETERANS DAY. We feel honored to have those who have served in our community for their sacrifices, dedication, and service.

Since the beginning of the HOLIDAY SEASON we have been collecting donations for both, the BURLINGTON HAMPSHIRE AREA FOOD PANTRY and the ANDERSON ANIMAL SHELTER OF SOUTH ELGIN. As we loaded up the overwhelming amount of donations for these not-forprofits, they expressed their gratitude to the residents of Cambridge Lakes. Residents are to be thanked for making this year’s annual drives so successful! Now, we can’t forget the annual tradition of our Cambridge Lakes youth writing LETTERS TO SANTA. Santa was extremely excited to both receive and respond to the many letters sent to the NORTH POLE. Each child expressed

to SANTA the many nice things they did throughout the year such as: sharing with their siblings, listening well, doing their school work, and learning their ABC’s. Children asked Santa for an electric guitar, a doll with a bottle, Jack the Pumpkin King toy, a Baby Yoda, and a “huge” brontosaurus. SANTA wrote that he hoped everyone would enjoy the spirit of the holiday season. With 2020 coming to a close, we have noticed our residents doing their best to stay HEALTHY throughout the year. In support of WELLNESS, the association coordinated a DRIVE-THRU FLU SHOT CLINIC in November with Walgreens which was well received by the community. We also noticed our residents working out frequently at the FITNESS CENTER 7 days a week, and participating in the OUTDOOR GROUP FITNESS CLASSES. FITNESS CENTER reservations continue to be available by reserving at: https://www.SignUpGenius. Com/Go/904044BABAF2BA1FD0-Fitness at least 24 hours in advance. Are you leary about working out in the Fitness Center? VIRTUAL GROUP FITNESS CLASSES are now available by sign up for both ADULTS AND CHILDREN! Please email: ResServCambridgeLakes@FosterPremier. com to be sent the virtual reservation links and a schedule of the class offerings. On behalf of all the staff at Cambridge Lakes Community Association, we wish you a JOYFUL HOLIDAY SEASON and a HEALTHY NEW YEAR. We look forward to continuing to work with you and look forward to seeing your smiling faces in 2021!
