Smog and air pollutants are affecting not only the planet but also our health. Decreased air quality is a major form of injustice as it results in decreased living standards The pavilion is meant to raise awareness regarding air pollution as a major environmental injustice that affects the health of civilians.

The pavilion focuses on the inhabitants of Helwan area who are hugely impacted by the cement factories. The Helwan region saw a high death rate from chest illnesses as a result of the high particle levels, and pollutants from the factories. The form is a set of continuous walls that forms different loops to make the user understand the perpetual act of destroying others’ health. The space also includes smoke as an interactive element of the space.
