A Note of Appreciation to Dillon, Latta, and Lake View Police and Sheriff’s Departments The police departments and sheriff department of Dillon County provide a most valuable and compassionate service. They probably are not thanked very often for escorting funeral processions.

This is something they do out of consideration for the families involved. Cooper Funeral home has always found that the Dillon, Lake View, and Latta police and deputies are men and women of their word, and their words are alays courteous.

We have been blessed by having only 1 traffic accident in 45 years, and we owe this success to our law enforcement officers who help us with the traffic lights and escort us whenever we ask for help.

Some town governments and sheriff’s departments have discontinued escorting funeral processions and the result has been confusion, accidents, and an unnecessary burden for people who are already troubled.
