A Letter from Frank Valinho Vice-President of Tax Defense Network, Inc. Jacksonville Tax Professionals, Since taking the reins as Vice-President of Tax Defense Network, I’ve had the pleasure of speaking and interacting with many of your co-workers and colleagues. So often, our conversations would turn to discussions about unmet needs and unresolved issues within the tax field. More specifically, the lack of a credible and trustworthy resources to refer clients who have IRS and State tax liabilities. All too often, I am told that Tax Professionals have little choice but to refer Frank Valinho their clients to a local tax attorney or to the IRS itself. Neither choice is optimal since tax attorneys are competitors of sorts and direct contact with the IRS can be intimidating for many clients. In addition, the IRS does not always have the client’s best interest in mind when a repayment plan or resolution is formulated.
It was clear to me ... that an opportunity existed to create a program that provided Tax Professionals and taxpayers (and your clients) with a much-needed service.
I am convinced that what Tax Professionals tell me is absolutely true. I believe this because not a day goes by that our firm does not consult with a taxpayer who harbors a growing sense that he or she has been abandoned by their CPA, tax preparer or bookkeeper. Most of these taxpayers are simply seeking proper guidance and sound advice for resolving their delinquent tax problems. Generally, the more complex the case, the more abandoned, lost and distressed these taxpayers feel.
It was clear to me and the Tax Professionals I spoke with that an opportunity existed to create a program that provided Tax Professionals and taxpayers (and your clients) with a much-needed service.
